they're doing that here in san bernardino too, they're forcing people out of they're homes along the 215 fwy so they can build a big as lake! lake san bernardino.......bwahahaha! the home owners should have a choice

Thanks bracersi ... I could not beLIEVE this when I was hearing it ..you know ..in Hawaii,
when people get nuts like this .. the *aina* (the land) gets very, very upset. ask FishyMan ...
People die .. or get really sick .. or .... we have gone TOO far with this example, and I
consider it overboard ..if not downright fawkin communism .. it really seems that no one
has a choice anymore. If our Gov can get away with this, and not even feel the least bit of guilt,
its time for Gov to be shown the fucking door .. plain and simple ..

I thought our bi-partisan judicial system was supposed to uphold the constitution? I like how they try to disguise this as economic reform, and then pass on the responsibility of people releasing their assets for the good of the community. In that case why not have some of these multi billion dollar corporations release some of their assets for the good of our economic society. Sounds more like some business men and lobbyist bought out this situation.

hey tomi, ill try chime in when i can. just kinda busy trying to sell this car so i can get money and what not..

but here's a quick opinion and personal thought.. this is sad but true, and not only is it real estate trickery (in many hidden forms)-a lot of hidden real estate agents trick peopel into selling their land, and when people try to sue, the loose.. but gov't taking over cuz they can is BS... i am not hawaiian, but i live in hawaii. i also know how it feels like to have land u call home for not just 1 or 2 generations but 3-4 and many family sharing and coming from it; be taken away just cuz of a HIGHER POWER....

yes it is just for business and big corporations over taking smaller businesses. i wont lie, but i sometimes feel much happier and greater if i went to a mom/pop's store to buy something that costs a bit more, or make a farther trip just to help them out and to know that the people thats doing business is going back into the society, not big corporate rats who get richer...

anyhow... i hope things are okay.. honestly it sucks its just how things are.... darn gov't.. YIKES better watchout or get tag.

We are still robbing money from the native americans as we speak, well not us...... but the poloticians. That whole lobbyist deal going on with delay. I read that most of this funding was coming from illegal and over taxation of the casinos on the reservations. Our government is fucked.

if im not mistaken, what happens is the government comes in and gives an offer to the owners of the land they want. Something like 125% of what the land and property is worth. They tell you to either take the money, or refuse and have it bulldozed anyways. This is pretty common practice, but now that I think about it, I'm probably thinking of something different.

I hear that brudda Fishy .. there have been alotta folks in Hawaii Nei thathave been forced
offa the land that was theirs for many, many generations.. and look at what they did with the folks
in Waimanalo .. Ewa Beach... not to mention Waikiki itself...and the military owns the best
real estate in Hawaii .. every island .. Kaneohe MCS is prolly the best beach on Oahu. I agree man .... Generations of people are forgotten,

This is what I'm talking about .. 125% is just that .. a figure .. to alotta the Hawaiian's, and I'm sure the Native Americans',
that kind of money today is not only uncomprehensible, but its not even important .. its all about the *Aina* .. the Land ..

the government is always doing this type of practice and is always doing what they desire. This land buying scheme is nothing new, and has always been around. Welcome to America....the government rules you and you can either choose to agree or not, and if you dont then you'll be dismissed in total.

its sad that its happening, but what can you do, go up against the goverment? in court, the gov't will more then likely win, and then you'll be stuck with court fees, lawyer fees, and most likely have nothing after the gov't took your property.

i just hope when i start buying up lands and properties, the gov't doesnt want them.
