that sucks dude....the loss of license however will not go into affect immediatley, in some cases, licenses will not be taken away for upto 4-5 months, because paper work takes a long time in each state. For example, i got a ticket back in january for illegal lighting, and i still have yet to hear a court date for that violation. So technically, stuff takes a long time to process, so drive up until you hear that you can't.
and yea, 12 over isnt that much, but i guess illegal fireworks most likely did not help the situation. Anyhow, good luck and i hope the best works out
i always wondered who was driving miss daisy these days...
props to you..asian kid in the bay area who hasnt been pulled over..you truly are a minority
it all really depends on how you dress and to what extent your car is modded.
My friend just recently lost his license for a year. Cop pulled him over for speeding. Then the cop smelled alcohol on his breathe and made him take the test. He blew no where near the legal limit for 21 year olds but since he was a minor the limit is .01 so that means no license for a year. He is still lucky though...get pulled over an hour before he turned 18.
that sux..lost mine for two years for eluding and evading..and failure to stop for a blue light..only 5 days to get them back though..you will have your back in no time ..dont let them cops get to you ..they get paid to be asses you know?
I don't know how the cops are up there. My first ticket was 14 over and the cop didn't even show up to court so case dismissed. Often you can take deffered judification (or whatever they call it) and at least lower the fine or sometimes you won't have to pay at all. It's conditional upon not getting anymore tickets for like 90 days or you pay the full amount for both tickets. O and mention for sure the officer confiscating the fireworks and not making account for it. I just work for fedex and i know ppl can lose their jobs for not accounting for packages they pickup and police business is serious stuff so I'd mention the credibility of the cop. But yeah you still should get a lawyer cause they can and will almost always get you off or out for less.
