I hate landlords and civilians who think they are military

Renting sucks, but I believe you have SOME rights on that property! I suppose reading the agreement would help, but I doubt "drinking beer on your front lawn is forbidden" is clearly written there. Washing the car I can kinda understand, but it's still pretty lousy. As for the flag, that sucks. I guess they can do it, but as long as you maintain that lawn, it shouldn't be defaced against your will. You mow the grass, right? Keep the flag there. Be sure to keep clear of it when you mow. In a couple weeks it'll be overgrown as hell You could also say that as a military-involved individual, you find the company logo on the American flag to be rather insulting. I know I would!

As for the non-military that act military, I understand that. Family, spouses, and non-military people that work with the military should respect themselves a bit more. When a husband or wife attains a certain rank, THAT PERSON did that. Their spouse did not. The spouse can be proud of them, but to say "we" is BS. Get an identity of your own! It's degrading to, say, a Navy wife to associate her husband's accomplishments with her own. Is she worth nothing herself that she has to assimilate his victories as her own?

My wife is willing to over look the situation at hand. She is tired of moving from place to place and we will end up leaving this area for cali or texas in a year. To pack up and move woud be extra stress. Not to mention that we still don't pay electricity, water, garbage, and sewage it makes it ok. We don't get any more noise then the rest of the town due to ea-6b's flying around all hours of the fuckin night. The community here is a descent one, no shootings or stabbings yet. I guess the main problem is violation of my beliefs. I am a hard core liberal as you might have noticed and when someone tries to order me around it pisses me off. I spent 5 years getting orderd around. To make matters worse this business is ran by a bunch neo republican right wing conservatives that send us news letters in the mail about sunday school and church. Not only that but every republican that finds himself running for office gets his poster board put up right at the entry of our community. Did I forget to mention that this woman in the neon had her bush cheney sticker on her bumper. At this point I feel that my political fights is not needed anymore. Politics in general is bad and after fighting for so long I have given up. I have that right and I will use it. But when my own happiness in the place I call home is invaded. They are basically using the fact that they are the landlord to push their own political and religous agenda and that is mad wrong. Conservatives are about conformity and really that is what this whole base housing issue is about. They try and control me with one thing, then another, then another, then another. That's why the government sold the housing to these people, that is why they are selling shore duty to halliburton. It is a way for the conservatives to buy there way into a concrete position's in our government and push their own agenda no matter who is in office.

Well the military is like a little mini hollywood. "I know brad pitt", "I am married to pamela anderson", "oh yeah well I had lunch with Lindsay Lohen". That translate to- "My husband is a 0-5", and "my husband is the CO of this squadron", "oh yeah, well I play golf with the admiral". It makes people feel good because the people that they hang out with can relate to that. Not everyone is like this, but in my opinion a vast majority do.

Well what happend is that the base housing was sold to this realty company that is owned by this one republican senator. Some how he worked out a deal where base security would still patrol and have jurisdiction in the area at the same time it would be privately owned. He some how worked out a deal where his property would be patroled by the gov. under tax payers dollars. I think it is a scam in my opinion. Base security is not even there for the people, only for the property. Some kid spray painted a penis on the bus stop in our neighborhood and N.C.I.S. was all over it. My 93 prelude got stolen and no one would even do a formal report. Go figure. Anywho yeah your right. I do need to find out my rights. I need to find out if due to the fact that I am in this gray area if I am subject to certain laws and revoked rights. If so I need to get out for my own best interest.

basicly if i go to Irag or w/e then it effects my wife and son big time thats where it came from mostly
