i agree. if they were banned in the first place, it's for a reason. it's probably because some of the members didn't want to deal with another user's bull. so if they are banned, it was to keep their name out of the community, and it should stay out.
as for temp bans, if they can't get their act together, then they should be banned again but for good.Adam - Retired OG member from '03

Depending on the situation, bannings are either permanent or temporary. When someone comes on here and their first 5 posts are "honduhs suck get a reel car like a mustnang" then of course they will be permanently banned. People who get warned for breaking the rules will be banned for a temporary amount of time. There have been some serious wrongs committed on the board in the past, and those who have committed them have proven themselves trustworthy enough for another shot. I can think of 3 or 4 people who have been banned and have been much better since. Some people just need that wakeup call!
If someone is a member of the community, it won't be permanent... usually. If someone is banned for a day, the next time will be a week. Then a month, two months, etc... If they want to work themselves into a permanent ban, it'll take time. We're strict about the rules, but how many people have we banned for a considerable amount of time that were worthwhile members? Not many.

yo catz is crazy
if someone needs to be banned, then ban em... I like how deever has it set up... cause if someone gets banned to the point of a month, and they STILL come back and start shit after a month of being banned... then:
a: Someone needs some help (mentally) because thats freaking ridiculous
b: The person doesnt want to be here for anything other than to cause "drama"
c: all the above
(more than likely C ) So I say after the "Month" ban that it just be permanent.OS^e
