Holy shit where to start.
1. the soda/pop controversey rages on! I used to live in washington, but was raised in alabama and texas (dad's in the air force) and it used to bug the living hell out of me when people would ask for some "pop". For the love of god people, it's SODA!!! The only exception is New Jersey where all soda is coke.
2. Y'all is used generally by the HEAVY southern people. I mean UCLA type shit. (UCLA standing for the Upper Corner of Lower Alabama). And even then it's iffy to come across someone who uses it in all conversations that involve you... and the all the rest. other than that I have no real explanation.
3. Hella. ...... I've never been to cali. The only time I've ever heard hella used in a conversation is between people born and raised in california, and in south park.
4. I would like to ask a question about different words now. I've lived in Illinois for about a year now, and it's come to my attention that wash is now spelled with an "r". As in warsh. 'Oh hey, you're from warshington?' No asshat, I'm from washington. I defy you to show me a dictionary that spells "wash" w-a-r-s-h! And another thing, are people from boston incapable of pronouncing R's? It's always about the "Ca". Are the R's actually leaving boston and traveling across the states to Illinois and inserting themselves in words where they shouldn't be?
I'm done. You may continue.
