cool thing. I won't mind paying for the gas though.

Lets say the metals surface at an atomic level is very course, porous and has lots of small pockets like a carpet that holds and traps the a/f mixture instead of burning it throughly. Well if we freeze the metal and the atoms glaze over and the surface becomes similar to glass then the a/f mixture is burned alot more thorughly but that still doesn't tell the ecu and fuel injectors to inject less fuel. Or maybe it doens't need nearly as much fuel to reach the same efficiency as it once had because so much more of the fuel is being burned. I can't think of anything other than that.
And with a smooth surface you'll have more oil burned and leaking. Also, a rougher surface is required for atomization of the fuel. I still don't understand this, but I think the guy lives here in missouri, maybe I could ask him. Why is he worried about gas anyway, we pay less here in the corn belt than anyone else.

gonna disagree with the statement that more oil is burned and leaks. If anything cryogen'ing would make the cylinder to piston ring clearance more efficient and would even cause less friction. Oil wouldn't leak into the cylinders unless there was something wrong with the rings in the first place. A slight rough surface is needed just after the fuel is injected to cause vortexing and thus atomization. The entire flow area does not need to be rough or else porting and polishing would only make you lose power. Makes me wonder if the hybrids have some sort of wideband and adjust from its readings.

I think it would leak if you didn't have the cylinders re-honed. Just my opinion. I still don't see how it creates better gas mile(at least that much better).

probably wouldn't hold compression to well or pass a leak down test if it wasn't re-honed...man he left out so much info its hard to decipher all this
