    Going to the dark side...

Well fellas, my accord is no longer running, so I'm picking up a new car to get me to work while I fix the CB7. It's a 1997 Nissan 240SX.

    RWD POWA, BITCHES!

Seriously, I'm really happy about this, I hope I can keep myself from modding this car to it's premature demise. But I guarantee I'll pop it's modding cherry shortly!

If you have any questions, suggestions, jealous flames, ect., please post 'em up. I'll promise to answer as soon as I get back from my mountain run(just kidding).

Sorry to hear about the CB, but congrats on the 240! You gonna so the JDM swap dealy on that? I would if I got one (I thought about it, actually... heard they're a bitch to work on though, and they're the "new civic" so the aftermarket is full of expensive crap!)

Yeah, it kinda sucks they're popular now, but I live in the boonies. Full-on rice is just now hitting, so I'll be way ahead of the trend here. Plus, this is only the secong one I've ever seen.

Come to think of it, there aren't many S13's or 180's here either. Just saw my third Supra the other day. I'm excited about getting it, but I don't plan on doing much to it for a while, it's just the DD for now. It's gonna be a lot of fun this winter though.

mmmmmm corollas...get the base model..so you can gut it...and then throw something insane in the engine bay...only way i could think of justifying owning/driving a corolla...sorry..just to mundane for me...

EDIT: sorry to ignore your topic blue...sounds cool man. i wish there was a CHEAP RWD honda platform out there....but it seems that since the beginning honda was gonna base their companys line of autos on FWD vehicles.....oh well good luck going dorifuto...

i was thinking 85-87 hatch or coupe SR5 or above, ive found out that they are cheaper, not sure about easier to work on, lighter, usually have less mileage and yea...cheaper.

Have fun in the 240! We only got the 200sx but they're really sweet (and more powerful ).

If you wanna get a Corolla, get the AE86 (I hope you guys got that!!!) The only RWD corolla ever, and it looks class!

But most importantly, hope you get the Honda back on the road!
                  On the platters that matter!
                  Just settling in!

Hey there's nothing wrong with a 240sx. I love those cars. Almost had one myself. You will love your car even more if you got the SR20DET swap. Your car would be so quick from that motor, especially if you put a front mount on it and ditch the little SMIC.

                    Pics?

                      Thanks for the responses guys.

Don't worry, the accord will still be around. In fact, it will now become a dedicated race car, so I'm excited about that. I'm not excited about driving two hours in a race car whenever I actually want to race. Does anyone know if a private party can start a SCCA chapter and hold autocross events?

I still don't have pictures up of my accords, and I've been on the site for a couple years. I will try to take pics, and if I ever get my film put onto a CD, you'll be able to see my three Accords and the S14.

Btw, the AE86 is not the only RWD corolla. There are several different model that were. Check out the drifting sites, they have more info than me.

It's the 97-98, the last model available in the US, often refered to as the S14mc.

Whatever, it's the one with projectors. By the way, it cost me under $5000, and it's in good condition. Kid didn't know what he had, I hear some go for $9000 in Cali and such.

I'll try to get some pics tommorrow, and maybe get my film developed over the weekend.
