i know how to rollerblade really well since i've played ice hockey for so long. i've been thinking about getting k2 aggressive skates and trying to learn how to do tricks. is it hard to learn how to grind and other stuff? i'd guess it takes alot of balance and i'm pretty sure my balance is very good from skating for so long. just wanting some feedback before i go out and fall on my ass

spoken like a true boarder though...let's see you do something basic like a soul grind for more than a foot or 2... and then you can say whatever you want...
It's not as easy as it looks though... grinding is partly about balance....but it partly about repitition...muscle memory...
Don't think that just because you skate you're going to be grinding rails in a couple days... that just takes practice and fearlessness... the skating experience will help alot though...
You are going to fall on your ass when attempting grinds and air tricks... it's all about getting back up and trying it again though...
If you have the drive...do it... I loved aggrssive inline...still do... I still skate every now and then but I can't do anything like I used to do... screwed my right ACL doing a jump onto the street from a 12' planter box...
i still love it though... have the scars to prove it... and btw K2 skates are awesome... soft boots are the way to go... very comfy...RIP Lifsatrip7

i tried skateboarding before and didn't like it too much. and since i grew up ice skating and rollerblading, it just fits me better to try aggressive inline. i hope i can get a pair of k2's soon, and learn over the summer. nothing too big yet, gotta get my groove back in just skating normally, then i'll start trying to do tricks. should be fun
btw... anyone know where i can check out or d/l some video's to help me out?

lmao. Damn I havnt skated in years. I use to ride factory for senate. I think I still have my roces majestic 12's from back in the day if you are interested, I might still have the chris edwards choclates but i'll have to check. But as far as k2's I broke the cuff on every pair of fatty's that I had back in the day. Shit maybe I can find some pictures of that shit, I use to be good before I got sent to rehab. When I got back kids were doing all kinds of crazy shit like farfegnoogen everything, fastslides that were balanced, fuck all that, when I fall now it hurts.
Oh yeah, I still got a ton of wheels if you might want them. roadhouse crayons, uh special k's all that shit. I'll post up picks laterLast edited by bracersi; 05-23-2005, 04:01 PM.
