offroading at 65+ is no bueno

    Sucks.

dodging a ladder that fell off a contractor truck I ran the passenger side of the car off the pavement on the freeway today. there's about a 4" dropoff on the side of US75 thru Allen that I had to either run the edge the car off of or nail the falling fiberglass ladder. couldn't swerve left, car. straight meant eating an 8' ladder, right meant off the pavement. I chose off the pavement. results: scratched up underside, scratched up APEXi WS, and bunged up alignment.

I had to stop to assess any damage at the first exit, and the pickup went on it merry way. F'n loser.

Just be glad that you're okay and no one was hurt. Trucks suck. A few scratches here and there isn't the end of the world.

did u pick up the ladder?
depending on how much traffic was behind you and the car next to you i think i would hit the brakes and slipped in behind the car that was next to you

My original intention was to swerve over to the breakdown lane but I went just a tad too far and *plunk* off the road I went. There was no chance of getting to the center lane; i was already in the slow lane of 3.

No I didn't pick up the ladder. It ended up between lanes.

Damn that sucks, but I think probably everyone here has ended up in a similar situation. Come see me at work , I'll get you hooked up with an alignment.....under the table of course.

Too bad you didn't get his plate cuz he would get fined big time for shiz like that...cuz him losing his load could have cost someone their life.

There has been some crazy crack down in Wa about that stuff because several people have gotten really hurt and one women lost her eye sight because some jack ass lost his load.

I took a look and the underside's in good shape, but the lower arm to the steering has a spot where you can tell it hit the edge of the pavement. Concrete dust impacted upon it.

Corey, expect a call from me on your cell in about 5 days to set something up *wink wink*.

Cool, I'll put it up on the rack and make sure everything is alright and then do an alignment. Just give me a ring whenever you're ready.

I'm sure that both the fiberglass or aluminum ones would tickle the body of the car the same way at 65 tho.
