Ok...Got the carpet but now I need help.

Ok so I finally recieved the carpet for the Civic..right now its sitting downstairs..I did alot of running around today to local shops and ended up finding only one shop locally that will do the install for 400 dollars....that to me is suicide and murder on the pricing.

My other problem is this..I tossed out the old carpet so I cant really make cut-outs for the front plastic vents...tranny hump and the ebrake handle. The new one did not come with the cut-outs so I consider myself really screwed unless someone can work some kind of miracle..and point me the right way with a complete measurement of cut-outs I can probably get this new carpet installed without fucking it up.

    So yeah anyways help?

This is going to sound like a smart A$$ remark but that a tape measure and measue the interior and then start with small little cuts it will take some time but it will work.

if ur carpet is premolded, you may be able lay it in the car to help you get a more exact idea of how/ where to make the cuts, therefore fitting it as you install it, IMO its more precise than measuring back and forth

good luck either way... ... i have two carpet projects coming up so i feel your pain

sorry forgot to mention this but its not too hard. you of course would have made it easier with the old one. but if you went with the link I gave you it is premolded. so lay it on the inside and under guesstimate. don't forget there is extra on the sides all the way around.... good luck with this.

Yeah thats the hard part..I could lay it down BUT I have the shifter in the way....and the ebrake.

400 bucks is murder (well he estimated to be that much including the cost of adjusting the moonroof which is the source of the leak).

I dont know if Im intent on doing it myself.
