I haven't seen it, but I watched the trailer. That turned me off enough to not want to pay to see it. Was the MCM Corvette in it?

I've seen every single one in the theater the day they came out, except the first one.

I've had little to no desire to watch the most recent one. Once it's On-Demand or on Netflix, I'll watch it.

Without Paul Walker, I'm a lot less interested in the series. I find myself rewatching the first one from time to time and missing that whole time period of the import world.

I then go and resist the urge to buy a bunch of neon on Ebay. I wish Supras weren't so expensive.

I doubt I'll ever see it, since the 7th was so terrible. I stopped really enjoying these movies with the 4th. Too many explosions and fight scenes.

I'll likely still see it, but the only ones I genuinely enjoyed were the first and third. They were about the cars and the scene at the time. The rest were just increasingly ridiculous action romps. Fun, but far from being what the first and third installments were.

haha, ya, you don't want to see it. Besides the flashy cars and unlike the others there is so many WTF moments!

              - EMP set off to kill electronics of a sub, car still runs
              - remotely controlling cars via a computer, shows an old yellow cab and other cars without such technology being controlled
              - outrun a heat seeking missile, no problem
              - characters that do nothing the whole movie, yep
              - still shifting 20 times in a race scene, yep

from a car enthusiast point of view it's just a major WTF....

Kinda related, I saw Diesel's latest XXX recently and it was the worst movie I can remember seeing in a long time. I actually enjoyed the first one, but the amount of corny one-liners in #3 was unbearable. And the fact that Sam Jackson's character managed to survive a bomb that went off in his face and took down the building he was in.

The last two I've seen in theaters, mainly because the girlfriend wanted to go. I've lost interest. Tokyo Drift was my favorite of the whole series with the first fnf as a close second. I don't like the direction they've gone with it and everything is just so, campy.

I agree. I mean, I'll watch them simply because I tend to enjoy campy action movies... but only 1 and 3 had anything at all to do with "the scene". As poorly written and unbelievable as those movies may have been, they still captured the look and feel of the import tuning scene at the time they were made. Those two movies are snapshots of times long gone. For that, I love them. The rest... not so much. The cars are basically meaningless in any other F&F movie.

The loss of Paul Walker definitely hurt as well. Especially since he was a genuine car enthusiast. His presence brought something real to even the most ridiculous plot line. Or at least we could pretend that things were still somehow about the cars when he was on screen!

I enjoy them all. Tokyo drift being ranked last and fast five at the top. I do not rush out to see them all in the theatres anymore but make sure I see them at some point. Somehow I am able to watch them light heartedly and let the mistakes go. Example I hate mid movie ads like transformers and chevy collaboration but will be disappointed if Dom does not drive a Demon. In the f&f world that feels meant to be.
