another option to look into is housekeeping or pet sitting. my friend and i (both of us have health issues) do this and have acquired many loyal clients. i'm in a big city, so i take public transit for my jobs. (it's actually faster!) i'm sure you could fine some on the bus line. seems in those jobs they're more understanding regarding transit issues. i know it's been that way for me. also, believe it or not, there's been many times my clients have come to me to take a look at their cars and do a little side work, which is bonus $$$.

do you have health insurance? have you seen a doctor? i know florida chose not to expand medicaid, so it can be a tricky situation to navigate for lower income folks without children. are you considered disabled by the state of florida?

does your mother do home medical care? is she a cna, rn?

since you have some auto knowledge and are a woman, have you considered teaching other women? i'm not sure exactly how to get that started up. perhaps someone on the forum might be better assistance?

No health insurance, I go to the county health department for health care which is limited, don't get to see specialists, just basic health care. Not officially considered disabled yet, going to see what I might be able to get done through the health department.

My mom does home health care as a LPN. Hospitals don't hire LPN's anymore but LPN's are still being trained.........

93 Nissan Sentra; Broke down, won't start, doesn't seem to be getting fuel, already checked the main relay, and spark, hear the relay click and see spark. Thinking fuel pump, will check for fuel at the rail tomorrow. If that isn't it, I'm fucked........again.....

For a 93, it's about time the pump went out. I wouldn't sweat it. Have patience, mentally break down the system, and think about what is most likely to happen. A fuel system, for example, isn't complex. Typically tank > pump > lines > filter > rail > injectors. Injectors aren't likely to all fail at once. Filters can get clogged given enough time. Everyone with an old car experiences pump failure at some point. Lines aren't likely to be clogged unless somehow something stupid was put in the system. One way to test the injectors is to use a screwdriver like a stethoscope: put the pointy end on the body of an injector then stick your ear against the end of the handle. Listen for clicking. Alternately, unplug an injector while the engine is running; if an injector's good, you'll get a noticeable change in idle. Unplugging a bad injector will make little to no difference.

After that accident you definitely need to get an x-ray to check for any injuries which can be fatal. Drive safely if you were looking for cars why not check the auctions they are flooded with them. it shouldn't be that bad to diagnose and should be fairly cheap never check the dealership.

Thank you guys for the advice, I got it fixed last week on Wednesday. This past Tuesday the 3 month old alternator went out, got that fixed and today had a flat tire.

My mom went to the hospital and got all kinds of tests and no new injuries were found except a broken finger and cartilage damage on two other fingers, cuts and bruises but nothing else.

Glad she is ok!
