I have used these from O'Reilys with great success. I think the hardest beating they took was either a transmission mount bolt or a lot of large suspension bolts. There have only been 2 regular hex bolts that this did not extract. There are 2 sets to make a full set and I bought them at $15 per set bout 2 years ago but they have went up in price.

I went an brought the Irwin fast bolt extractor set. It worked out well. I also go to learn more about the proper way to do extractions.

whatever's cheap, they break.. the type with the LH drill and spiral extractor bits, but theres also 2 others that might come in handy for the task. if theres some sticking out of the surface and can grab it..
        stud remover

and this style that you can use on stripped hexes and studs

I use the round out sockets. I have deep and shallow, snap on for both.
