Fiance totaled CD, hunting on Craigstlist

My fiance drives 2 hours one way twice a week to go to school (UC Davis). She has often, to my dismay, driven that commute on little sleep. She basically did the same thing this morning, and fell asleep at the wheel...

She hit the center divider, which woke her up, and then she ricocheted across the four lanes of interstate, hitting at least two cars. Everyone, including the kitten she had in a carrier, walked away (she and another were airlifted to the hospital for whiplash).

Needless to say, the car is totalled, and, against every bone in my body, I am looking for a new car for her.

I am looking for a '96 to '00 CD5 or CG5, white, 4 door, 5 speed, cloth seats, as bone stock as possible. I will consider a CD wagon as well.

I am fervently on the hunt, but if anyone is perusing cars.com or craigslist in their areas, and happens to see one that is in good condition, could you let me know? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm way to far away to help but just wanted to say that I'm glad she is ok. I say it turned out very well compared to what it could of been. Hope you find a good deal on the car you want.

          It was still drivable.

I have a lead on the exact same car, except it's an EX automatic. That may be what she needs, though.

Glad to hear no one was seriously injured.

My old lady has had her '02 Accord SE for just over 5 years, and she's loved it.

The only issue shes had it the jerky shifts that are common with those years. It's been shifting like crap for a while now, and doesnt appear to be getting wose. If you stay with a standard trans you should be ok.

            Why not a Cb7?

That could have gotten really bad, glad they came out with only minor injuries.

There is a supercharged CB FS not too far from here, *hint*

Well, because I love them too much, haha!

She did not prove to me (not that she has to, but I am taking notes) that she knows how to take care of a car. I constantly found the interior of that car a complete pigsty, the oil cap off the valve cover, and even the oil dipstick missing (both times after driving for more than two hours one way!). I would go to the lengths Jarrett went to in order to get the most well maintained CB I could find with my exact specifications (sedan, white, 92/93, manual, LX/EX), and I could not bare to watch it deteriorate from neglect over time.

The CD chassis is my least favorite of all 90's chassis, and it happens to be her favorite.

It will be totaled for sure, and she will collect towards a new car, due to having full AAA coverage.

She misses that car so much, and is really leaning toward a manual, but I still want that CD to which I posted a link above.

                      All in God's timing now.

Ugh, it's calling my name, but the owner is slow to respond. It's within walking distance of my house!

I'm pretty sure that's the EX with the F22B2 Vtec

                            Here is another pic:

Yes, in the back, the right side bumper is dislodged and I will have to inspect that. The front bumper looks like a minor scrape, but nothing major.
