Bogus winter parking ban ticket

Dropped my buddy off at his place at 12:30am n he invites me in for a beer, we watch half a movie while talking… I start my car by remote at 1:20am for my 10min warm up… I get to my car at 1:30am to discover a $50 winter parking ban ticket made out at 1:27am, uuuurrrgghhhh! Mofo put a ticket on my running car(park lights were on too) wtf can I do to?!
There is no visitor parking at all so I had no choice but to park on the street.

Running or not, the car was still parked there. Chances are he saw the car there at 1am and wrote the ticket when he saw it still there nearly half an hour later. Sucks, but rules are rules.

Agreed. You made his day. He may have seen your car running and waited for 5min to see if you were coming, eventually giving up. Tell your friend he owes you $25
