More car than driver, unfortunately. Although, I think there are far, far too many cars out there these days that are more car than driver.

I recently read a story of the owner of a new McLaren crashing one on the way home from the dealership.

If I ever had the means to purchase one of those vehicles, I think the first thing I'd invest in would be a driving class. My first car after the CB had about 300 HP in stock form. I purchased it in December and unfortunately it came only with summer tires. I was on my way to the tire shop to get some suitable tires installed and pulled out into traffic quick and briefly drifted it. It was a low speed maneuver so I was able to correct easily enough, but that was less than half the horsepower and likely 1/4th the speed. I'm sure the owner figured since it was the highway he had some room to open it up and see what it could do.

In the days where your average new Camry can outrun an early 1980's Ferrari, more common sense is definitely needed.

Its only a matter of time fast cars crash when the the owner let's their car get away from them. You'd crash too with 707 hp if your not careful. Did you see how many gtrs and lambos crash? I'm like high HP is a recipe for disaster.

But man what a thrill the owner will get another one because he's covered hell prolly crash that one up here. Its hard to find a cb though. No matter what kind of car comes through new and old a few will always find the crashlot mydude.

I bet it was due to the drivers carelessness from racing ohwell.

At least the owner isn't dead if you can afford to own it you can afford to wreck it. I would get one but I love my gas mileage

The haters don’t know the details, they just talk their sh%$ and sound like jealous bitches. The guy went in and bought a $60k car and you say he is an idiot, as you get in your faded out Honda and drive off. I just hope he had gap insurance. Sorry for your loss brother.

And damn I knew one of the responses would come from that. People are quick to blame the cars never the drivers

dude most people can't afford the lifestyles they live. Everything is bought on credit; cars, furniture, clothes, etc. But yea he'll be paying monthly for a wrecked car, it will get repaired but it still won't be the same.

Trust me man thats a 60k+ car, not enough damage to total it. I remember back in 2008, a brand new Lincoln Navigator came into my shop, beyond fucked up. This thing had 50 miles on it, barely drove. Insurance company opted to repair it since it was cheaper than paying for a new one.

A hit like that my friend is a total. That looks like a case of a high performance car who let it get away and ended up with a low performance driver man.

That's just the way it is the last thing the insurance company wants to do when its easier to pool the money, cash out then jack up your premiums. Geez minimum on that car with some stacks down is a 1000 a month. You figure plus interest heh I'm good.

Dare say i would invest in driving lessons with a RWD 707HP monster like that. No way I'd even attempt to let the back end get out on me. In fact I'd go buy a crappy 240 or some other RWD car to practice with for a year before attempting anything risky in that thing. But some people need to learn the hard way...

Exactly or take it to the track or a deserted field and find out what you can do or what you can't and shouldn't do. It reminds me of a motorcycle you find out quick of what you can do and what you cant do. A lot of folks nowadays don't know there's a saying and that saying says ''respect that bike''! The same thing with certain cars.

But, i guess we are jumping the gun here. The article did not mention who the driver was and even the pros make mistakes. For all we know it could of been some professional driver who tried to avoid a deer.

                          Wait...

You need two fucking keys to operate that thing?

No you don't there's two keys one to operate for certain HP levels. One key the black one limits the car to flash 500hp the second key the red one allows the car to be flashed to 707hp.
