Clear Tails on eBay

I just recently purchased some clear tail sonars. I haven't used them yet, but when I do I will use them with caution because I don't want to ruin them. Well last night I found clear tails for sale on ebay again, but this guy has a few in stock. My question is, are they starting to remake these? Either way if they are this is cool. I was thinking about buying another pair for a backup set.

They do ship. Gotta check out their website. They are nos (new,old stock) these weren't very popular, but since people found out they don't make them anymore. Now they are sought after.

If you read the listing it says they are brand new in box/NOS. So no, they are not being re-made, they are illegal for on road use and not DOT approved.

I read some where you can have them as long as you have a red reflector some where on the rear of your car (at least for MO) it may be different for other states. I found out the brand though, it's APC. Are APC a good brand of tail lights?

Yeah Ive looked into it myself for the set I have already. Theyre not DFOT legal because of the absence of a red reflector in them and the work around is some sort of red reflector on the rear of the car. (Ill get past this buy using those liscence plate bolt reflector buttons ) I dont think it matters as much these days as much as it did 5-10 years ago because I see OEM's using all clear taillights now.

Yes the way to make them DOT legal is to install red reflectors on the rear of the car. Everyone always brings up that newer OEM cars have clear taillights, well they all have red reflectors installed on the car as well.

we should contact sonar and ask them to do it again. I tried contacting them a while back, to find out the exact composition of the plastic they use so i can repair mine but I never got a response. Theyre in taiwan. Maybe because theres not such a market for them anymore like there was in the 90s, I bet they still have the molds though.
Seems like the "euro" style is more popular these days, but Ive seen crystal clears on older ford broncos and integras..maybe its just a vintage thing
