I get a kick out of people thinking all chevy 350 motors are the same. Back when I was working the Autozone night job I had plenty of dumb people ask dumb things. "Get me a *random* gasket for my 350" "what year is that 350 from sir?" "aw hell son it don't matter they are all the same" "well the 350 came in carb, tbi, cpi, ect..."
One person asked me for the part number for a water pump on his 67 VW Bug and asked me where it was because he couldn't find it. He was shocked to learn his car was air cooled.
Some folks would be dumb enough to buy muffler bearings if we had it on the shelf.
When I first heard of DEF I thought it was a joke too, but that strange story ended up being the truth. I guess I was the dummy on that one.
