As far as my srt4 watch what you say about sonic hell still mop the floor with ya slow ass tsx. My dude your lip kit,low drop is only good for slow clocks, all my cars are quick and fast to burn clocks shut em down and open shop. Why front your skyline will prolly even won't catch my evo in the corners or in a straight line.

Remember its about the driver are you going to be using the xyz amount of horsepower in the corners since your saying most cars are only good in a straight line more than likely nope. Of the hellcat is a car with a blower with same car and a swap why don't you run one them. Your ass will take a loss left and right. I'm here because I want to be my SRT will scrape your car with ease even in reverse lol

Never once did I say I could I could beat ANY of the cars mentioned. Could I own a Skyline? Yes. But I have a family to take care of a house to buy. Glad your single and can do all you want. Once again . Your douchbaggery is showing. Still thinking you're better than everyone here.

So what my TSX is slow. It's perfectly fine for me. Hung with an 06 BMW 325i, 06 Audi a4 and a5. Im happy with those results. Sorry not everyone here has the money and means that you do to make dreams possible.

It's all opinion. I mean, honestly... 700+hp is incredible. BUT... if I'm going to spend nearly 60k on a car, it probably won't be a Dodge. I'm not saying the car isn't capable, and that the engine output isn't absolutely impressive... 700hp was supercar territory (and nothing else, from the factory) not very long ago!
Still, if I was going to toss 60 large into the abyss for a brand new car, there are other cars I'd be much more interested in. They might not be faster. They might not even handle better. But they're more appealing to me.


And yes... the Hellcat cars are going to have more power than the average owner will EVER use... and their suspension setups will provide handling capabilities that will exceed the ability of 90% of their owners. The few that make it to a track that has curves will probably not even come close to truly seeing their true potential.

I don't think anyone here will argue that 700hp is impressive.
The cars will handle, sure. But get Tippey in here, and he'll be quick to scoff at these things... because he's an M3 guy (he just added an E30 to his collection...)

I have a 400hp car that weighs 3800lbs. It's too much car for me. The engine can be found in a Corvette, and the transmission can be found in a DB7. Suspension tuned on the Nurburgring (8:19 lap time). It's an impressive machine. It's too much. I can't use all that potential.
I see a 700hp car that is possibly MORE capable, and I see something I have absolutely no use for. For that reason, I have no desire to own a Hellcat.
It's cool. I'll drool over it at car shows. And when I'm rich enough to buy a $60,000 car (not until I'm making WELL into the 6 figures...) I'll buy something else.

Our cars don't have to be up to par with the cars of today. Of that was the case then we'd just buy the cars of today.

The Hellcat is a nice car. But once again. It's not the end all of cars. It's not the best thing in the world. Now the Buggatti. That to me is the best car. Sure it's in a different price bracket. Would I own one? No. I have to be completely sold on the looks of a car before I get it. And sorry. I'm like 70% on the looks for it. The performance tho. Omg. Love it.

The Dodge Ram SRT-10. Another domestic I would love to have in my garage. Has the motor of my all time favorite car. Looks good. Sounds great. Yes. A firm yes for me.

Just raw power tho? I'll get a Supra and build that. Much more fun to build and end with 1000hp than to buy it. That's they way I've always been. The work is worth it for the end result.

If it where designed to be a track worthy car they probly would post official nurburgring times like everybody else and they do with the viper. If you look at the list of production car laptimes for the nurburgring you will find about 35-40 cars faster around a track than this hellcat. I have to guess at the hellcat time but im being generous. It would most likely not make the top fifty and have more hp than all but 2 or 3 of the cars on that list.

So you made up a time you think it will run and it's slower than some cars that have real times. Yeah, solid work there, chump. I know this is an import site, but god, the import humping and blatant disregard of anything domestic is ridiculous (all backed up by imaginary numbers). Like Deev said, all manufacturers these day make pretty damned impressive cars, import, domestic or otherwise.

I don't have a dog in this fight but import guys have been getting shit for over 20 years from domestic guys. With the recent decline in import people in general the ones who have stayed import are hard core and have likely been around a while. Long enough to catch years of shit from domestic pricks. So of course it's going to be hard to find a domestic respecting import enthusiast.

I myself like the import vs domestic scenario. I'm used to it. The first day I ever drove a car legally that's how it was. That's all I know. I'm turning 24 in 4 days. How many people on this forum are about my age? The majority. And almost everyone of them drive Honda's. So the domestics vs imports is all they know too.

With that being said I show people respect for their vehicles if they are deserving of respect. Or, like on here, I show respect in all directions and this forum is generally filled with non-boastful respectable people.

Off this forum and on the street or whatever, I would jump all over peoples shit in conversations like this. Just because it's a different environment. It's not about starting a fight it's about making competition, and with old imports it makes for one hell of a goal, that's what I dig. But... bench racing sucks. I'll just say that. This thread is not a great thing and has ran it's course I think.
