    yah they are incredibly tough. the main thing is the knuckles and castor blocks. the rest is bulletproof with reasonable power. when i turn up the power mine tends to grenade the diff, lol.

      i dont understand how you people spend money on these things. i gave my stampede to my friend and he ended dumping hella money into it like different reciever, brushless, rpm everything. i gave it to him because it was slow enough for his kids to play with but now it goes 70 mph when it stops doing wheelies.

      I tell him to stop dumping time into rc cars and work on your race car or his other 3 cars. 4 cars and 10 rc cars and lives in a cramped apartment with his family.

        I picked mine up because I got hurt at work and was stuck at home. Then I got hooked. Now that my wrist is healed and I'm. Back to work I've been working on the car here and there again. Once you get a lil speed out of the rc's and race a few events it gets better. The stampede is really only good for wheelies and straight line performance.
