thats odd, i have a magnuson mp90 and i thought it was only good for 4.0l but now that i look at thier website...

    http://www.magnacharger.com/p-116-ma...ercharger.aspx

it says up to 5.7 which is perfect because i have a 5.3l sitting in my garage!
    I <3 G60.

0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

All this talk is making me sad that I have a 6.0L!

I'm curious to know if it would go on in place of the intake plenum... or if there would still be a plenum under it.

Studying the bottom picture closely its funny that you can't even see the engine. I'm surprised one can close the hood of the car with this thing on there. Also seeing that the whole throttle body is relocated, which means extending coolant lines, sensors, IACV, etc. Can't be good having the exhaust header directly under the supercharger like that too, but still pretty cool.

From what I can tell the intake manifold looks to be left alone other than the throttlebody relocation. In the illustrations the intake manifold it's self looks to be unmodified. Unlike the Jackson Racing charger they made for the H22.

I don't really like how it bolts up over the exhaust manifold either. Superchargers create a lot of heat without any help. I bet the location of this unit would increase IAT's a lot.

The hood clearance issue would be the deal on an Accord. If you have ever looked under the hood of an Odyssey there is a LOT more clearance. And I bet this unit take up most of it.

Oh yeah. Stupid me. I didn't look closely at the install pictures!

That's interesting. That's actually how I was looking to mount my M45 on my H22A!
It could actually be intercooled when mounted like that.

It could definitely be intercooled with this style setup which could help dissipate the heat from the header. Between header wrap and possibly gold tape or a shield I'm sure you could negate the inherent heat of the location. Also, looking at how the "manifold" bolts on, if you had a flange you could probably fabricate it to where it would clear a stock hood.

I figured you missed that picture when I read what you posted.

I have never really tossed around the idea of supercharging but that location is ideal IMO. Like you said, intercooling it with it setup like that would be easy.

This one not being setup with an intercooler with its location is what struck me as surprising.

The hood clears the F22A valve cover on an Accord by only about 2-3". That supercharger is about 3-5" taller than the top of the valve cover at least. That's why I say hood clearance would be an issue.

I found these, I found a lot more but I didn't want to fill the thread up. But this might provide a good idea of how to set one up if a person wanted to make one from scratch.

I feel like there's plenty of room tp make the charge manifold lower in profile given you have a good fabricator. Even when you look at a Miata with an m45 kit the profile is very low. Definitely see issues trying to run it on something other than a single cam though.

I think your right on the money, that would be the best bet to stuff it in there as that looks to be the trouble spot as for clearance.

It would be neat to see it on an Accord, definitely unique. Someone a while back put a Vortec on their H22, that was really cool.

Here is what I was basically planning to do. You can run it like a turbo just need a blow off valve to bleed off the pressure when the throttle closes.

I know it won't produce much boost but it's no race truck, just a little bump would be great.

That's where I was stumped with my supercharger plans. I had planned on a blow off valve, but I wasn't sure if it would be enough. Wikkedv16 installed an M45 on his sister's Prelude. He didn't create a sturdy enough bracket for it, and he had issues with it being blown off when the throttle was closed.

So the only reason to move the TB to the front is so you don't need to use a BOV? Seems like a really unnecessary mod. Also an IC would be perfect upgrade for this kit.

I'm really tempted to buying this kit. The I5 fwy (Grapevine) is kicking my 95 Odyssey's ass.
