I had nightmares about this clown when I was little. No idea where from. But every once in a while that damn clown. Then when I was 10 I saw the movie and thought it was awefully familiar. Turns out I watched it as too young an age to remember watching, but that damn clown tormented me for years.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

(this wasn't even my worst childhood memory, my mom loved 'scary' movies) Real life is scarier than a movie....1997 Ford Explorer V-6 AT (what a piece of junk)
1993 Nissan Sentra M/T (front end damage, off road for now)
1999 Mercury Mountaineer V-8 A/T - RIP (rolled: totaled)
1992 Honda Accord A/T EX - RIP (transmission shot: sold to junkyard)

Nobody will be able to beat Tim Curry. His performance in the original was a perfect bullseye.
Unless, by some random chance, the guy they choose to play Pennywise somehow Robin Hoods it... like Heath Ledger did with the Joker, following Jack Nicholson's nearly perfect portrayal in a previous incarnation.

Few few actors can pull that off.
