i keep saying how much i want to dump my cb cause i hate the rust and how the paint is just dull, but everytime i look at it from far away it makes me just want to find a mint one that would look as good close up as mine does far away...the past week i saw two 93 se's in perfect shape no rust!!! and the paint is imaculate, but they arent for sale and i want a 5sp for my next car and the great thing about accords are that it is hard to come buy nicely modded ones so its a unique car to mod when the import scene is loaded with civicsLast edited by blkhonda1991; 04-13-2005, 04:47 PM.

CD's rust (have seen many)
BB4's rust (have seen)
DC2's rust (have seen)
It's only a matter of time before the EK goes.
CD's umm i've seen a couple, not many.
BB4's umm not really....Very RARE that one does. VERY.
As far as DC2 goes, I've only seen the 94-97 ones rust.
After they changed the Bumper designs i guessed they fixed it.
PS, i've never seen an EK with rust. Only a couple 4Doors from the same years.
And Henry, i think you can do better than the Civic.
Maybe an EK hatch, now those are pimps.
But not the Blueish/Green 4 Door you got...i dont think they look all that great

It's your world. I wouldn't wanna rock w/a Civic though cause of the generic factor.
Is there really that much of a tuning advantage from a Civic vs. an Accord? B-series engines are basically done for, unless you get one that was already beat up on by someone who swapped one in...and the H needs the mounts. In any case, people dismiss the lumps we have in our cars. 200whp from a B16/B18 requires I/H/E, cams, pistons/rods and probably new valvesprings. If you do all that to our engines, it might not make 200whp, but it'll be damn close, and it'll have a sh*tload more torque to go w/our heavier cars. Plus you won't have to pay extra for the engine.
Suspension-wise, I think the only thing they have over us is the UCA's with camber adjustment, but we have the Ingalls/SPC balljoint kits. Same shit.
Beyond that and the weight issue, which is pretty big but self-evident, I really don't see the difference. We have more displacement, basically all the same parts available, and our DOHC VTEC engine is more readily available than the Civic's. One of my homies just did a GS-R swap in his EK so I'll get to see how fast it will be...but after riding in h22sparkle's N/A car I doubt it would be much faster.
Like I said though ultimately it's up to you, but to me getting an Civic is the same as getting an Accord modwise. If anything you get a little more peace of mind with the Accord because people don't really know about them.Last edited by gloryaccordy; 12-03-2005, 10:29 PM.

Very well put Yaw. I also see it the same. Our Accords have just about as much Aftermarket support as the next Civic.
You probably wont find it with the big name companies like Spoon and Mugen.
But you can sure as hell count on little mom and pop shops to custom make parts.
It'll just take a little bit more to find, and you'll probably get it better quality and less expensive than the big names...
I would take an FMR header over a DC header any day
Henry, I think if any of the EK's are played out they have to be the Silver ones.
You rarely find a Black or White one for sale...
MMMmmmMMM...i would take a White 99-2000 EK right now...
I just dont want to park it in the streets

Rich, I agree. My homie has a silver DX EK hatch on Si's, dropped to all hell. W/the GS-R lump I imagine it'll be an easy 14 sec car, but still...there must be 1000 cars like his. It would be kinda hot to have an EK sedan done up either RS-Ferio or Type-R style, w/a K20...but that's like a $20K car...

You just sold your Accord..didn't you?
I mean I hate to put you on the spot but I mean its really my choice if whether or not I think another 15 year old car is what I really want. I owned my Accord for nearly 5 years prior to that it was owned by my family for 10 years before I took hold of it.
I knew it inside and out, I know the common problems it has over its span of time. Like I said I had my fun with the Accord. But when I also look at another car I think of its resale value, how much money can I get out of it etc.
I can put 2 grand worth of parts in an older Accord (circa 1990-93) and it wouldn't make the difference. I can't make my extra 2 grand back that I just dumped into an older car.
Having someone else fabricate customized parts for the car itself costs more if anything else.
I'm not looking to heavily mod my next Honda if thats what you think Im in plans of doing. Turbo costs way to much money , bodykits are lame, and I dont like attracting attention to my stuff.
I like Billy's car thats why I want a Civic. His is a perfect example of clean and simple. My choice of year just differs from his.
But I know off hand being a Civic driver and owner you get that typical 'ricer' stereotype.
I like the cleaniness and a simplicity of a car. Not outrageuously flashy and trendy.Henry R
