TV: Ghost Adventures

Anyone watching this?

When I was young I believed in ghosts because we lived in a house where a construction worker died there when building it. And I still remember how we could hear footsteps, cold spots, doors opening or closing, and animals never liked it there and always ran away (scratching at doors a lot). Our neighbors stopped coming over for card night because of the freaky stuff going on. Eventually we moved out. But I was young and now that I'm older I don't believe in ghosts.

So I started watching this series and some things seem legit. Buuut, some times I'm like ...

"if you wanna see ghosts and you heard a ghost in that room, why the heck are you moving on to another room?"
or
"Why are you not using this device in this house?"
or
"Why do you ask the ghost to come to a certain light but keep moving all over the room?"
or say
"I don't feel good, let's leave; I have to get out of here" when you are there to look for ghosts.

Some of it gives me chills, but sometimes I feel like its setup. But other times I realize they are in some creepy places which would have ghosts if they existed.

Yeah I don't watch Ghost adventures because it feels like a big setup to me. They just go in trying to provoke ghosts etc. and don't really try to debunk any of the stuff. The only one on tv that I somewhat watch is Ghost Hunters since they really try to debunk noises and reported sightings.

I have had experiences in the past that have changed my beliefs towards ghosts and I do believe in them but most of this tv stuff is staged.

I've watched all the ghost hunters but it was the UK one i believe. Just checking out the American one now.

I think out of the lot the GAC is the most legit, however lately they have been really hollywooding it up. Zak is more of a douche these days. All in all they get to explore some awesome locations.

Ive done some of my own experiments and have had experiences but Ive mellowed out on it due to some relevant information Ive heard about these situations. Even though Im hardly religious, it makes sense so Im no longer provoking.
This 1920's house I bought definitely has something in it although its not malevolent so I dont bug it. The apartment we lived in had some bad mojo in it. Kids being harassed at night..weird mood swings when coming inside, gloom and doom feeling when reaching the door. It was apt 13 too lol.
The experiments I did there were sometimes scary. Im glad we moved. Another difference too is I have 3 cats and 1 dog. Cats are said to ward off evil things.
If your not prepared I would not provoke or even "play around" with the unknown. `Cause it definitely is real.

Low and behold theres an EVP on their toy. =\ I dont know what it saying something like "Want to play buddy" then something else..I haven't been recording any EVPs maybe they wanted to be heard. you can look at it from the Matrix POV:

its a program doing something that it's not supposed to do

or a religious POV:
no matter what anyone says, ghost and demons. are bad. "good" ones are there to deceive you into thinking they're good, bad ones are there to cause you terror. evoking any kind of relationship, whether it's just to talk to them or to get them to come out so you can see them, is a BAD idea.

i used to watch Ghost Hunters because all the stuff they found was fake. like the one where the boat they were on was supposed to be haunted and a bed in a room would unmake itself. they caught it on camera....so they thought. found out someone would go behind the camera and basicly did a stop animation on it. other stuff can be caught on camera but because of today's technology, it's fake to me. no one in their right mind is going to contact a evil spirit, better yet, anger one just for it to show it's self. trust me, if it shows itself, you wont be there anymore to tell it.

or a regular POV: you don't try to contact any spirits. doing so could cause you mental or physical harm.

Ya, the more I watch Ghost Adventures the more fake it becomes. They just overreact ALL THE TIME! The guys on the American Ghost Hunters stay cool and calm, like real people. The Ghost Adventures freak out when a pin drops, like its all an act.

But I certainly wouldn't be walking around in the dark in these areas they visit!
