Congratulations Bill! Been following this thread to watch the progress.
Glad you and your CB are healthy and happy!

I did the trip from S. Florida to the west coast, and just like you, I slept at night,
and drove in daylight .. did it in 2 and half days! My CB wasn't even breathing hard.
Change that oil, check the fluids, give her some air for her feet, and put her to bed.
Job well done man .. I had faith in you the whole way ..
These motors just run and run and run ..

Just out of curiosity, if you kept records, (I did, is why I ask) how much in $$$ was petrol?
I'll tell you mine after you tell me your's lol! I did my trip in like 05' so .. just curious.

Just over 1,700 miles, I have over 1/2 tank now and started with a full tank. Not counting the first fill up, I spent around $210 on fuel. After doing the math and accounting for fuel not used it was 1720 miles at 29.9mpg averaging at $3.16/gal.

      Thanks for the support guys.

MO has the absolute worst roads when you leave the highway and MN has the worst highways!

Once I get some time I have a couple of random photos to upload.

I wish I had re-installed cruise control. Next month I drive the sedan up and should get better mileage.

Thanks for the support! My CB7 coupe is about to become a garage queen until I can do some real work on it but only after I get the sedan up here or buy a Jeep...

        Well deserved!
Thanks for the info. My trip was around 2400 miles, and I spent $142.00.
And yes .. GOT to have CC for a road trip!

My Dad bought a 2000 Z71 about a week ago, and we took it on a 600 mile round trip yesterday with my car trailer to pickup a CRX. Only incident was a bad brake bulb on the trailer haha. I'm lucky we didn't blow a trailer tire since they are 30 year old dry-rotted car tires lol.
