If he would have rolled down his window all the way he probably wouldn't have been stopped. But no he had to be a douche to protect his constitutional rights. Videos like this piss me off, being a butthole can distract the cops from catching someone who is doing something illegal. But instead they are dealing with you.
Thats kind of what I think. People must be being an ass or something to have a cop repetitively pull them over and what not. Drawing excessive negative attention or something, maybe by dressing/driving/acting like a punk or street goon?

Call it profiling or what ever but generally people that look a certain way also behave a certain way. Thats fact 99% of the time. Bill Gates and Gucci Mane don't dress the same.

I guess what I'm saying is don't incriminate yourself by the way you look. Try not to look or act like someone who commits crimes. Try not to attract attention. If the regular Joe notices you so will the police. Attracting attention is attracting attention. Period. It may be good or it may be bad.

I'm 30 years old and look normal and don't dress to attract attention. I don't drive like an ass hat or attract attention.

Like I said earlier, one bad apple has spoiled my appetite. Not all my local cops are bad, just the one who is harassing me. He hates my car and thinks lowered tin cans shouldn't be allowed on the road. Last time he said that to me I said "it's ok, I'm not driving a Civic." He doesn't care that my car isn't slammed, or that it was lowered safely and handles better than his cruiser. He is just a biggot.

I agree not all cops are bad, but people who are obviously harassing or feel the need to should not be cops.

I was not singling you out or even making the slightest reference about you. You already told your story earlier and like you said most cops are alright. Not all cops can be good and not all cops can be bad. You ran across one of the bad ones. I agree with you on that, no need to explain yourself.

What I was referring to is there are 316,000,000 people in the United States. And it seems like half those people think law enforcement is out to get them.

The nay sayers can bitch all they want.

When they get in too deep, they still going to call the police to come bail them out.

          LOL.

You can't really hear everything that was being said after the driver was asked to step out of the car, but if they really did tell the driver that they'd bring a k-9 unit if he didn't consent, then the search would have been coerced and illegal. Any evidence would have been suppressed after that point (fruit of poisonous tree doctrine).

On a similar note I rolled through a DUI checkpoint once and having a Wink mirror I was able to catch an officer point at my car as I drove through. I got pulled over for a CVC22107 (not yielding within 50 feet of a change of direction), and somehow that led to the officer wanting to search. I denied twice stating that they pulled me over for failure to yield, and that they didn't have reasonable suspicion to believe I had anything illegal. The officer made some sarcastic criminal lawyer remark and threatened to bring a K-9, so I told the officer to bring his supervisor instead.

Shortly after, the FTO that was with the officer stepped in and calmed the situation because the citing officer was getting aggravated, while I remained calm. I denied consent to the FTO a third time and eventually they just wrote me a ticket. When they approached my vehicle to hand me my well-deserved ticket, they were really polite.

I took it to court after a year of extensions and the case got thrown out. Judge dismissed it saying "the officer does not recall the incident to detail, and therefor you are dismissed and free of all charges against you".

My advice, arm yourselves with knowledge and you'll be able to have the upper hand during traffic stops. I'm a male Hispanic with a shaved head who does a lot of night driving in a "common criminal car" near bad neighborhoods. I have more warnings than I do fingers.

I find it funny that you chose someone who wants so badly to be a cop, that he felt it necessary to call the police 411 times in like a two to three year span.

And no, he didn't handle anything. If you really believe that, you're grossly naieve.

                      This thread is rich.

First off, I really don't understand how people get off making these videos? If the dude just rolled down his window and showed his ID to the officer, he would be free to go. It really is stupid not to.

And I really don't like it when people use the phrase 'the house I'm staying at'. Are you on fucking vacation or something? Or do you live there? I don't get it.

I personally have to go through Border Patrol checkpoints anytime I leave my town in any direction (Google maps Del Rio, TX). Each time I roll down my window, a k9 sweeps the car, and an agent asks me if I am a US citizen, I say yes, they tell me to have a nice day. If they prompt me for ID I will gladly show it. Why should I refuse to do this, unless I were harboring illegal aliens or drugs?

Also, I'm pretty sure Wes was being really sarcastic about the Zimmerman thing. I personally laughed when I read that.

IDK maybe I'm nuts. Maybe I'm not.
