Just Married (Saturday, Mayhs t 18, 2013)

Well, I have been gone for quite a few days. I got married on Saturday, May 18, 2013 and it was everything I could've imagined, and then more. I find that people are always asking me how married life is? Honestly, it's no different from dating/living with your significant other.

Anyways, I got married on the beach of Topsail Island, North Carolina. The weather was amazing! The ceremony was short, sweet, and to the point. The guest list was a little high for a beach wedding at 75 people.

Thanks guys. We have been making our way back home over the past two days: stopping to visit family on the way back.

The accord just rolled over to 270k miles and still going.

We had a great turnout for the wedding. We were under the budget of $1500 for the wedding/reception. I ended up having four photographers donate their time and services unexpectedly. One photographer ended up with 732 photos. I will estimate between 1700-2000 photos taken all together between the four of them.

We had people show up for the wedding from as far as Cincinnati and Philadelphia. It was just an overall, amazing experience. Both families got along so well and just clicked. There was mention of having a yearly beach trip as a family reunion. Yay for starting family traditions.

Other than my wife and I sharing such a life changing moment, the one thing that stuck out the most to me was the fact that my wife's grandfather gave me the biggest hug ever. I had met him numerous times and enjoyed his company. He had always given me really awkward handshakes. The hug spoke many volumes.


Monday we had a family trip to the Duplin Winery for a wine tasting and tour. I hate wine. well, up until the tasting. If you're ever in eastern NC, I recommend checking out Duplin Cellars.

After I got married about a year and a half later my son was born... And let me tell you it is a very magical thing to watch your children grow up. They just melt your heart in ways you never imagined. Good luck to you two!
