I can understand that most people eventually move on to newer cars and give up on their 4th gens... but I did it the other way around. I sold my 7th gen Accord and went back to a 4th gen (and recently a 3rd gen). I refer to these as the "real" Hondas. As nice as the 7th gen was (and it was an EXL), it felt cheap in comparison to the 4th gen... it just didn't feel like a proper Honda. Proper Hondas to me are the 1st-2nd gen Integras, 3rd-5th gen Accords, 2nd-5th gen Preludes, 4th-5th gen Civics, Del Sols, CRX, etc. The newer ones just don't satisfy me.

So, with that said, I'll use the money I could have used to afford a new car to keep my 3rd and 4th gen Accords (as well as the old Caddy cause they damn sure as hell don't build those like they used to!) looking and running like new for as long as I can... because they are the last of a breed and once they're gone, I'll probably hate whatever it is I have to drive afterwards.

Basically 88-'00 was the era for real imports, just like most muscle cars had their run between 66-73 or so. After that they all started getting silly looking. As a loose rule anyway. Theres always exceptions.

Nice. That's the way to do it. The TL-S should offer plenty of performance and looks in stock form, so all you have to do is maintain it. You can put your effort and money into the CB7 to make it look nice, be fast, whatever...

That's one reason I'm glad I bought my CTS-V. I have no desire to do any modifications to the Cadillac (ok, the stock nav/infotainment system blows goats... I want to replace that... but nothing more.) The CB7 can be my project, with unlimited downtime, without me feeling like I have to divide my attention between the two cars.

I agree. The Type-S really is much cooler all around.

The 6 speed is nice, and it has always intrigued me to have a performance/luxury car with a manual transmission and a respectable amount of power. My CTS-V is manual as well (all 1st gens were), but sometimes I kinda wish I could just enjoy the luxury of it without having to shift. Granted, the Cadillac shifter kinda sucks... Honda's manual transmissions are much more civilized!
