    there you go

i really dont have much to say on this. the guy got a GTR. wanted high HP numbers. should have taken it to a shop that SPECIALIZES in building GTRs. not a shop that builds all types. screw that. he obviously had the money. not the brains.

if i EVER have to take my car to a shop, it's a shop that works on mainly or nothing but Honda/Acura. not a shop that works on every make and model out there. i buy a Porsche or a Ferrari, you think im going to take it to just any shop? no. same with the the GTR. i buy one of those and want more power, ill either research and do it myself or ill take it to a shop that specializes in building them.

for the shop. they should have got the right parts. if a company sends me the wrong parts and offers to send the right ones, take it. period. install the right parts so none of this crap should happen. but the owner shouldn't have changed his mind so many times.

Quality assurance is really suffering these days..... A car like that should never have left the shop.... I can't believe the hole in the firewall....... This is a six figure car where I live. It should be handled with kid gloves for f#@k sakes.

Never mind the amount of money spent or the fact that the owner changed his mind about parts so the timeline drug out..... What I can't believe is the rookie quality of workmanship that those pictures show. I have worked with people fresh off the street that wouldn't put their name on work that shotty.

It looks like someone modified that car in a gravel pit in their back yard. Brutal how shops get away with shyte like this..... There should be no blame on the owner for the shops lack of QA. Sure the owner changed his mind, therefore the timeline changes are the owners fault. Changing his mind still has no bearing on the erros found in the work being done.... They obviously weren't rushed!

i think both parties kinda messed up on this.

firstly some of the shops work looks really weak. and looks like they may have bit off more than they could chew. shop blames it all one one person, and thats kind of a weak way to go about it.

        now the real deal here:

If you have that kind of money to spend, what on earth are you doing taking your car to a shop like that.

places like Secret Services Auto (SSA) in houston have a lot of good review and a lot of loyal customers.

but if im about to drop 1/4-1/2mil on a car im not bringing it there. my lambo is going to Underground Racing or Dallas Performance. my GTR is going to AMS or Switzer. Places like that

Why? because these people have a history with high dollar cars and high dollar builds. These people have engineers and properly trained employees putting together their builds.

their employees are not joe blow who was a toyota technician for 5 years but built 50 turbo honda engines and a handful of single turbo 2jz's . i mean im sure some of those guys do that beginning pedigree, but theyve also been trained and have built a handful of 1000+ hp lambos/gtrs/ferraris/etc and know what quality of work is expected of them in their builds.

if youre going to go in ready to spend money like that, you should do your research and ship the car to the place it needs to go. not to a good/ decent shop in your town.

but thats just me, and my opinion.
