Ya im happy as hell with my Droid Maxx.

Dual core, Jelly Bean, and battery life that nets me a day or two between charges depending on use.

    Greatness!

I loved my blackberry, and im all for them making a comeback, but I don't see it happening.

Congrats, Blackberry created a phone that is better then a year old phone.

The S4 that will be coming out, as mentioned, is a Octocore....if it is only a quad core, that is still better then the dual core that the z10 has, which is still behind the times.

I have the Moto Droid Maxx, and for the first time, Android did not feel bloated.

In the past it was, but that is not an OS problem, that is a problem introduced at the carrier level. Android does not come shipped with all that bs bloatware, the carriers load down the phones with it.

With the newer processors, project butter, and Jelly Bean, Android is as fast as ever.

Toting that a phone beats the iPhone 5 doesn't do much for me either, as I believe that's a dual core and iPhones aren't that fast to begin with.

As far as the display, yes you're right, ppi is what's important, but a matrix is not only pixels, but also voxels and the relative size.

The better resolution comes from cramming as many pixels into the matrix as possible.

So a bigger matrix with a fuckton of pixels, makes for the best image.

Please take that retina bs elsewhere....retina is just what they call it, but the tech is Samsungs and it is not anything 'groundbreaking' lol.

In any case, im excited to see what it does, but I just feel like it's too little too late.

It might outsell outside the US, but I highly doubt it will knock Android or Apple out of the top 2.

We all remember how well the "playbook" did. lol.
You seem to be missing the main point I am making. My comment about the specs being the same as the S3 was in reply to you saying BB was "stuck in 2009" (even though the very first dual-core smartphone didn't come out until 2011) and "not touching anything current today" (even though it has the exact same specs as the US varient of Samsung's current flagship phone and somehow manages to be faster than it). Not to mention that BlackBerry will not be the only smartphone maker bringing new dual-core phones to market this year, and by your own admission, your dual-core Droid Maxx = "Greatness!" Samsung and Apple are the top two smartphone manufacturers right now, and the Z10 is faster than the current flagship phones from both companies. How fast a phone operates in the real world is far more important than just "having the latest specs." Are other phones going to come out this year that will operate faster than the Z10? I certainly hope so, as its only March.
Case in point to what I'm talking about with specs. I have an iPhone 3Gs with ios 5, and a Mytouch 4G with Cyanogenmod (widely considered to be the lightest and fastest android rom out there) version 2.3.7 (the newest that phone will support). The MyTouch has three times the ram of the iPhone, and a processor with nearly twice the clock speed, and while it's not slower than the iPhone at anything, it's not drastically faster at almost anything, either (except, for some reason, running the facebook app. The MyTouch blows the doors off the iPhone at running facebook).
My comment about the retina display was not saying that it was groundbreaking, as I said the S3 and Z10 have a higher ppi, but even on the iPhone 4, it's a crisp, clear display that I don't feel is hampered at all by being "only" 720p. Considering that most reviewers will tell you that you'll be hard-pressed to notice the difference between 720p and 1080p on smaller hdtvs, do you really think anyone will really notice a difference between those two resolutions on 4-5 inch screens? (also, note that Samsung only makes the displays on the iPads. The retina displays on iPhones and Macbooks is made by LG)
Is the Z10 too little, too late? I don't think so. Is BlackBerry going to knock Samsung or Apple out of the top two smartphone spots this year? No, and you know what? It doesn't have to. In order for BB10 to be considered a success, all it has to do is decisively positon BlackBerry as the number 3 smartphone os. They were able to eliminate all their dept months before the Z10 came out, so they don't have to surpass Samsung or Apple to make "a comeback."

I know it's probably just a pipe dream, but I hope for the day that someone introduces a smartphone with expandable ram.
