Project Big Mike (A 3d build)

So I figured I would make a new thread for this project.

So some may already know who Big Mike is but if not he owns a 92 Prelude thats pretty sick, lol. Figured I would model it and use it in my portfolio. Not sure how far i'm going to go with it but seems to be an undertaking at the moment, haha. I'm having a blast making all these parts. Its not going to be a 100% accurate model but i'm hoping to be close to the real thing.

Hope you enjoy watching it come together!

also, excuse me for critiquing something i have ZERO clue how to do! haha. it looks amazing, as always might i just mention that the edged on the wheels are more sharp than that and not as rounded. just something i noticed. incredible work though!

What i want to know is where you get the detailed photos or specs for all of the detail parts? I came in here expecting a pretty decent reproduction of the car's exterior and you've got all the tiny bolts and hinges for the smallest of parts. I remember taking an engineering class in high school and getting into autocad a bit. It seemed easy for me to pick up on and youre inspiring me to go out and get some software for a new hobby. Youve got some insane skill. How long did that wheel take, for instance?

Well, with Big Mike's Prelude its pretty easy to find a lot of pics of his engine bay, haha, and there are tons of features of his car out there with lists of mods.

So I usually check to see if I can see a part on the engine, then I cross check that with what his mod list says, then I just go to the parts website and look for photo's that way. Most of the modeling is just done by eye so they are not 100% accurate in size and shape.

This is deff going to be my most detailed model to date. I dont plan on doing the interior yet, mainly just the exterior/underbody and engine bay so far.

As for time limits, the wheel took..... maybe 2 hours, tire would be about 45 min to an hour to model/map/texture. ITB's took a bit of time, maybe 4 hours.
