Knock on some wood FAST!!!! lol J/K!!

I was in two accidents. One, I didn`t even have a license yet, stupid lil joyride, lightly rear ended a older gentleman. Nothing came of that.

2nd, was driving for work on the 401 and hit black ice, truck fishtailed and slammed into the median, I crossed over 2 lanes and came to rest on the shoulder, all in front of a trucker.

I just purchased a Dashcam, so my next one or someone else`s should be recorded.

I like my mom's old Kia Sportage, and 1990 Accords. Full lighting system at all times, and can't be turned off.
I disabled my DRLs :P I didn't like the all lights all the time, but I do turn them on if the weather is crap, or getting dark. I like the motto some trucking companies have: "Lights on for Safety".

Better safe than sorry honestly. But really, why can't the same sort of dinger sound when the lights aren't on at night like they do when you forget to turn them off when you exit the car? That or automatically on in the dark. There's no excuse for ignorance.

I'm thinking of buying a dashcam myself, I'm just waiting to save up a little before buying one. I can't think of many times I've needed one, however I think it would be used to take still shots of 'WTF Did You Do to your Car' cars.

I disabled the DRLs in my Civic too. They're ugly, plus I drive with fogs/parking lights on all the time, or full lights/fogs. So DRLs are useless to me.

My biggest thing is I like rear end lighting. Personally, I think being visible from the rear cuts down more possible accidents than lighting only visible from the front.

I've only been in 1 accident...with another vehicle that is lol, back in 2005 some lady in a Saturn ran a red light and I clipped her rear bumper spinning her around, have been in 2 others since then but with wildlife stupid pack of deer ran out in front of me in 2007 in the rain literally couldn't avoid them, it was either hit this one or hit that one, then in 2009 leaving work heading into the sun a pack of antelope ran on the road on a bend and didn't see them in time because I was blinded by the sun

I am glad that you are ok and that it wasn't the Civic. I hate people that do stupid crap like that!

I agree, I drive with my headlights on all the time because I have been in a vehicle that got hit entirely too many times. Part of my plans for mine, I am going to add more lights to the back. I don't want to be rear ended yet again!!

I believe Louisiana takes the cake for idiot drivers. I mean, come on, we're the only state with drive thru daiquiris.

OP: Glad you're okay man! How'd your boss take the news? That's a nice ass truck!

Nooo, that truck is a HUGE piece of shit. It's an ex-oil rig truck. Just beat to shit. Scratched and dented to hell, oil stains on the seats I can't get out, underside is all rusty, has like 65 000 miles on it. I'm glad it was this truck that got hit.

Dafuq... this thread is cursed. Some woman backed in to my car today in front of my office. I saw her coming, and had two choices. 1) let her hit me or 2) drive through RE/MAX.

Anyway I'm lucky that 90s era Hondas are built better than 2010s era Hondas. Her civic's bumper cracked and broke off on one side, where as I have two scratches in my bumper. I washed the car about 30 minutes ago, it seems like she took off just the top layer of paint, no real damage to the car/bumper.

                                Still.... cursed....
