Anyone just see 2014 Stingray #0001 get auctioned off at Barrett Jackson for $1 050 000 with all the money going to the design school the Corvette designers come from? Buyer gets to spec out their new Vette and take delivery at the Corvette design studio.

I got a video of it on my phone lol. I live about 20 miles from where they're doing the auction. I might go if I can snag some tickets for cheap to check out the cars.

        Can anyone see this? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

It was mercifully put in the discard pile!

Really the makers of the new Vette can’t help it if the Dodge Viper style headlights are "in". They would be stupid to make something that isn’t "in" and that people don’t like.

Plus if you look at the overall size of the Vette headlights vs. the Vipers you will see that the Vette headlights are considerably larger.

All the lines and curves in the hood kind of resemble a stealth fighter.

I would really like to see the interior.
i think you are on the right track on the Transformer part. The rear end looks like a Camaro, with a hint of Megatron going on. I do like interior alot but i think the red is a bit overkill. The headlights has that Ferrari theme going on. Cant figure out the name of the car, it could be the California but not sure. Cars a hit regardless. Whats the price tag anyone?

The price hasn't been revealed officially, but people are guessing that the base model will be starting around 50k.

As one of the Corvette's trademarks, that would still be a helluva deal.

Thankfully it evolved significantly from this. I see front end cues from it but that's about it.

I do really wish Cadillac went ahead and put the Cien concept into production. That thing was cool!

Agreed. One of the best things about the Corvette has always been that you could get something sorta like a supercar, for working man prices. The ZR1 pushed that considerably, but they also showed with that car that the Corvette chassis can perform at the supercar level... and compared to the cars it can hang with, even the ZR1 can be seen as a bargain!

I hope they never price the Corvette out of it's little niche. It's always been the working man's supercar.

The Cien was pretty cool... though I couldn't control it for the life of me in whatever Gran Turismo game it was in! (3?)

The style of the Cien is what trickled down into the cars we have today, though. I can thank that concept for my CTS-V's styling (and so what if I only have 40% of the Cien's power... )
