I typically spend quite a bit of time online. This site is my homepage, so it's always the first thing I see when I open my browser. So I typically check in and see what's active. Even if I don't post, I read anyways.

I've been here for 3 years and counting, and I love the layout of this site. It's so easy to navigate and use. Plus, the member base is pretty much the best group of people that I've met both in person and online, compared to any other forum I've been a member on. Really, it's the people that keep me here.

I still love the CB chassis, and with all the knowledge I gained here, I still like to help others and give ideas.

At the same time, even though I have moved onto 2 different cars since I got rid of my CB, I stayed with Hondas, so still having a Honda, I don't feel like an outcast.

Ongoing thread of challenges as an example. "Todays challenge, send a pic of your cb next to the city population sign of your city" or whatever. Let the person that gets in first make up the next challenge.

      Just a couple ideas.
For some reason I read this part in my head as if you were shouting. Then I was like... Why am I shouting? lol

      Hate facebook
      Good people
No ads all over the place like other forums
And uhh... Its a great way to stay in shape

That's what I was getting at when I mentioned LadyG's axle replacement DIY.

        Why the required DIY status?

If you want to prokoke member involvement, let anyone and everyone post whatever they want and have a monthly "best of" category or something? Then you could selectively pass people from the "do work" sub forum, or whatever, to DIY land.

Pair that with something under their name like "Did work April 2012" or some type of recognition if it is voted to DIY land.

Otherwise F-word the DIY stuff. DIY is cool and all, but I think that people view it as a benchmark and then refuse to post anything about something thats already "documented" because they feel the pressure to do better than the last guy.

People will find inspration either way. Im sure there is 10x more shit going on than people post about. This is all just a suggestion too. Thread title is for increasing member involvement, so that was my contribution

That and the picture/challenge idea. On the totalruckus forum they have a thread that is forever long, with tons of active posters that take daily pics of their ruckus next to whatever the last guy challenged. They pick all kinds of weird shit to be paired with their ruckus. One day it was pic of ruckus next to inn and out burger. Next it was ruckus inside of a wal-mart(someone did it too). It gets interesting as people get involved.

There are lots of daily pic thread ideas I've seen. Posting pics of whats on your plate was one of them. All the different meals and shit from all over the world keeps people tuned in.

One guy took a trip through all 48 states on his ruckus with a sleeping bag and a backpack that he refilled occasionally on the trip.

Its an amazing read. I couldn't imagine riding a ruckus from coast to coast and back. Obviously a different dynamic all together with camping and 2 wheels but the pics and story is my emphasis.

You (deeve) recently went to FL for the meet right? You could've taken a bunch of pictures of the entire trip, the hotel room, the party, the meet, the restaraunts, whatever, and made a kickass thread over it.

Encourage that kind of stuff too.

        My ideas

Its the amazing people and information on this site that drags me back, without the information here and people helping me my first Cb would have died long before it did. Hell iv gotten personal advice on here that I couldnt ask my friends.

Found this site while researching exhaust for my new errrr old Honda I got this year. I have been a car guy for a while, and never came across such a dedicated following for one car.

Its wonderful being able to find just about everything I need to know in just a few clicks, and even gave me some ideas for future work.

I do wish the community was more active on here, seems like I keep running into the same 10 or so members. But otherwise, it is nice to talk to others interested in the same topics.

It's always been that way, though. Always a handful of members that are VERY active, but that little cluster rotates as time goes on.

Although, when I begin to list all the members that seem to post like crazy, it ends up being a pretty long list.

A bit more accurate than scratch pad math, forum stats...

                        Bill 8.13 posts/day

It is my first forum. With out this forum then I would never have been hooked so hard on building/collecting CBs. When I first joined I didnt know much about the CB and was just needing some repair info but now I know just about everything. The info is GOLD.
Also the members are so much better. Ive made some good friends on here. I try to help when I can and am very thankful of those that have helped me in both info and parts.
The inspiration from all the fine CBs is also what keeps me here. So much eye candy. I also enjoy seeing all of the work that goes into turning a granny car into a show stopping center fold.

Yah know... Honestly. On facebook I belong to pa dubbers. Pa Volkswagenand pa Honda's. And every last one of them sites have " that one guy " that has to poke fun, troll, flame, or make fun of another's setup. I have my own preference, but am a strong believer in "if you don't like it, keep your fuckin mouth shut." I believe this site enforces that awesome. I love that people have constructive criticism and help people out through and through. It's so informative here, and so helpful, and the people are friendly. Cb7tuner is a great place. Lets keep it going this way.

                              Because I am a CB7 whore!!!!!

All jokes aside it's the people, info, and connections that I have made here. It helped kill time while I was over in AFG too. And deev even sent my CB7T shirt to me over there too!!! I am sorry I don't think I could have found a better place that would do something like that all. Two thumbs up here!!!

I love the info the site has provided and it's really helped me with my foray into working on cars more extensively. The people that I've met in person after meeting them on this site have been great people (as far as I can tell). The site has a lot to offer us owners. I always open this forum first when I get home.

TLDR: The same stuff everyone else said.
