^^^werd^^^ i started to try and read up on the process of getting a car here from japan, your best bet is finding a car that is already on the approved list other than that expect to shell out some BOOO-KUUU bucks to drive it here legally.

I think it can be done.
Batfa ships over to the US for under $1,500.
But when you get to Customs, just declare it as
          a Showcar or memobrillia.
Then when it gets to the US, tow it to your house and register
          it under a regular CB7.

But you will then have to pay for someone in Japan to dissassemble it., because that car CANNONT be whole when it arrives...

Right. The car has to go directly to a registered importer for modification, right? I know that even race only cars have to be modified to some extent to be allowed here.

I've explored every possibility for sneaking a Skyline into the country (I could have a 1990 GTS-T here for about $3000, car and shipping). It's just not worth it! And not worth the risk if you COULD find a way to get a JDM car here. The minute someone smells something fishy, they'll take the car.

if it has no wheels, and busted out windows.. it will be fine.

a shop in ohio has imported PLENTY of japanese cars in his container.
