But yeah, fuck em. If they aren't doing their jobs right, you have a right to tell your stepdad... Hell, you have a duty to do so. If they aren't working as they should, that means you're left with more work, and as a team you're still not as productive as you could be. Either get em out of there, or get em to shape up.
We get people like that in my work from time to time, but they always seem to quit or get fired rather quickly...

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky, as the four of us at the shop gel pretty well. Everybody does their job and we don't have many problems. I've known the technicians both for at least a couple of years prior to me working there full time. And I've know the boss for a LONG time... I mean, he IS my Dad...

Fizz, I agree with the rest of the guys here... You have an obligation to keep your step Dad informed. It's not just to keep the other guys in line, but for the health of the business, and the security of your job. The only people who might not like it are the ones who are screwing off.

Sorry to hear that. It sucks when you have to do all the work because everyone else wants to slack off. Something has to be done. . . Weather it is firing them or getting them back on track. I just hope that it all works out in the end. Good luck.

one of my biggest pet peeves is lazyness and i back up your decision about telling your step dad about the lazy asses completely...100% if they arent earning there keep then its time to find someone willing to do so...there are plenty of people out there wanting to find a good job that actual appreciate it
