oh wtf is that thing? are they only found around water because if so, i'm scratching off owning water front property from my list of things to do. Also i am never walking bare foot in the grass ever again.

That's like no earth worm I've ever seen before.

Apparently, they're called the "hammerheaded" or "shovel headed" worm or slug, and are carnivorous and eat other worms.

Yah its weird huh. Doesn't scrunch up like a regular worm when you touch it either. Theres videos of it eating snails on youtube. That would be a crap way to go. Get your insides chomped slowly by some nasty worm

I would probably get my dad

he would just come over, pick it up and toss it outside with a bare hand.

Ive never seen one and I dont care to either. I would have thought it was a small snake at first glance.

I would have no problem taking care of it, but what would really get to me is when I started wondering WTF is going on that this worm thought my living room a better situation than outside in the ground somewhere. I mean, how many other worms have that exact same idea, and where the f*ck are they hiding? In your bed? Underneath your mug in the cupboard? What about in the back corner of your pantry near all that delicious food?

Hah, my first thought was how eerily those stripes made it look like a tiny garter snake.

so apparently you chop the hammerhead worm into pieces,
each piece become a new worm.

it can reach 20 inches long.

Even crazier, apparently they can reproduce be sexually (they're hermaphrodites, and lay eggs) and asexually (by splitting into two, like an amoeba; a process aptly named "binary fission"). The Internet says that if you cut it into parts, only the part with the nucleus will survive; the other parts die shortly after. And apparently, you can dissolve them in salt or vinegar like slugs...
