On most, if not all, job applications, they ask you to volunteer your sex, race, and ethnic background. Now while I usually submit that I'm a male, I usually do not disclose my race. It's voluntary and I choose not to disclose it.
Anyway, my question is this; If I selected that I were African American, Hispanic or Latino and then in an interview they mentioned that I don't appear to be African American, Hispanic or latino, would I then have cause for a lawsuit?
I know why they ask those questions and I know they're voluntary. I was just curious if a white guy entered that he was black and then when he does the interview, he's obviously not black, the interviewer would or could say something about it. And if they did, wouldn't it be grounds for a lawsuit?
