I was just wondering, are there languages that omit this verb?
I often see things like "transmission needs fixed", or "brake pads need replaced". In English, it would be "needs TO BE fixed" or "needs TO BE replaced"
I'm just wondering if this is nothing more than laziness or a lack of education, or if it's because the person typing is used to speaking a language where such a thing isn't used.
