Need to get a computer built

I need to get a computer built for her photography business. She started it this year as something eles to do (she's a 2nd grade teacher) well business has been good, and she has been able to buy a few nice cameras and lens, but is doing all her editing on or few year old hp desktop and it keeps saying not enough memory to export, and its got vista. So I need it to do a few things. She has a 1tb external hard drive to store the pics she takes for future use, when it fills up, we will just get another

What I need the new one to do:
-Photo editing, she does all her editing using Lightroom.
-needs to run word and power point for her teaching stuff
-light Internet...most of he business comes via Facebook networking
-download music, but not store it..once on the MP3 player, it's deleted off the computer

So what do I need to look for???? She just needs a good photo editing computer, with huge memory (I guess). Don't really have a budget.....but like to keep it reasonable (under $2k if I can)

Are you building it or buying it pre built?

I built a super nice computer for barely over $1k and I had a 1tb hybrid drive, a 256gb SSD and a few other things that aren't necessary unless you're a hardcore gamer or edit videos and stuff a lot., and I can easily do all of that on my macbook, photoshop etc is easily done on most computers, word and power point too, light internet as well same with music.

You could easily build a computer that would work for all of that for $500, if you want something mobile a macbook will work great, I upgraded my ram from 4gb to 16gb and HD to a 750gb hybrid ssd on my macbook and now it never freezes or runs slow. And it's super easy to upgrade them.

Either way. Iam trying to get up with the guy who built the computer for my buddy's plasma table, but if I can buy one pre built, I will. I haven't really delt with computers much, and have never built one

She would like it to be desktop...doesn't need to be portable. We are buying a house, and she will have a office in it.

Building a computer is like legos, it's simple, and there are tons and tons of guides online as well as people who will help you. I would not pay more to have someone else do it.

Here's a little guide thing that will help you out.

also I would buy the PC parts off newegg.com they are having a black November sale so you can get even better stuff cheaper, but they usually have daily deals anyways but that site is the way to go for PC building, my current rig cost me almost exactly 2000 and I have an intel 3770k and 2 gtx670's, I bought the CPU, both video cards and motherboard when they were on sale, that saved me about $400, so yeah check out newegg

I would agree with newegg.com you can buy plenty of gear there for cheap if you want a pre built rig check out ibuypower.com they have bad ass rigs for about $900 they even go into the thousands but that's like top of the line stuff
