How to Use the Search Button. (Video)

As the title states, this is a short video showing you exactly how to use the search button (function) on CB7Tuner.com

The reason for this post is that I have seen a lot of posts where people just don't seem to understand how to use the search function.

I figured with a video, it will clear up any doubts on this topic.

It would be nice to add this to the FAQ, Rules and Beginner's section since I can't create a new thread there.

Here we will search for topics on air filters:

This is how to perform an advanced search using Google.

You will need to type in the Google search bar as follows:

    (Topic of your search) site:cb7tuner.com

Here is a video doing the same search for topics on air filters:

              Use Google. Plain and simple.

To search a specific domain, like cb7tuner.com, place "site:cb7tuner.com" (without quotes) into your search. See this page for more search info: http://support.google.com/websearch/...#topic=1221265

That said, I don't think folks can be expected to know these things, and we know not everyone will bother to figure them out on their own. To make the rest of our lives easier, we should implement an integrated Google search in place of the built in search. Also, we should make it such that after you enter a title when making a new post, the website automatically performs a search and shows, on the same page and in real time, the top three Google-based search results for your title. I think this will help cut down on new threads that have already been answered else-where, while also being minimally invasive, un-annoying, and easy to use.

                    "Google. Plain and simple."

Thats what I do, it keeps you from going thru pages of useless or inncomplete info.

The only bad thing man is it steers people away from the site. I use it too unless i find what i am looking for in the search bar. It actually takes time and effort to search on here.

Google just gives you the links that are associated with your word or phrases. Although on here it does that same, but most people are used to using google.

I have gotten accustomed to using the search on here because i mastered the techniques lol
