i havnt been to work since january. im broke as shit and i have to wait until mid may to get another "real" job. im trying to find something until then though. my car is falling apart (literally) and i really wanted it to look nice for the big conneticuit meet comming up. but its not gonna happen.
Mike and Eric... it doesn't matter HOW bad your cars look. Hell, most of the people at the meet would be content just meeting you guys sans cars! Of course, seeing Ice and the boosted F22 WOULD be really cool, regardless of condition.
The first meet I went to I had nothing but the H22. I had a cancer spot so big you could stick a finger through my fender. My paint was so faded it looked like a poorly-erased chalkboard. I didn't get rims till last summer, and I didn't even like those! I had to wait till fall to get the ones I wanted.
As for stuff being rough in general, I hear ya. Everyone gets overwhelmed from time to time. Sometimes simple things just fall at once, and it seems like too much to handle. I'm going to school to be a counselor... my whole future is based on helping people through such situations!
The best advice I can give to ANYONE is that when you're in a funk and everything seems to suck, DO NOT make any decisions... don't sell your car, don't dump your girlfriend, don't kill yourself.... Find someone to talk to. Anyone. I've talked about some pretty deep stuff with members of this board. They've helped me through stuff, and I'd like to think I've helped them with stuff. You don't necessarily have to talk to a professional, or even someone really close to you. Members here are lucky to have a tight knit community that has cars in common, but cares about more than just cars.
