theres an AWD civic in town with a 4g63 powerplant, and theres also a 240 with one.

Anything is possible. You could weld an engine bay in to the trunk, rework the suspension and fab out a RWD rear engine mounted CB using a FWD tranny.

Anything can be done with enough fab work.

If I was personally going to do all that work, I would start with the rear end. Most important part is the rear end, and aligning the driveshaft. The location of that will dicatate where everything else is mounted.

Reason being is the rear assembly is non negotiable. It cannot just be moved over an inch or two. You cannot change the mounts to make room, or anything. Your rear wheels have to be spot on, and then you work backwards from there. You can always fab a motor mount set to move the engine around a bit. The rear end is stationary and cannot be moved at all.

Been there, done that several times. Never turned anything AWD, but its no harder than turning a FWD to RWD and Ive done that.

The difference is aligning the transfer case with the front wheel hubs. So, after the rear end is in place, you align the drive shaft with a laser and adjust in the bay to get the front axles to lign up. Fab motor/tranny mounts, measure custom length drive shaft(s) and be done with it. Probably spending a grand on driveshafts alone, but it can be done.

Of course theres way more to it than that but thats the order of operations on a build like this.

I always thought it will be cool to pit a subaru awd on a CB. Then turbo it.

It'd probably be cheaper to start with a car that's alread AWD of a similar size and shape (Legacy or Galant), and do custom body and interior work to make it look like a CB7.

Anything is possible with $$$$, the question is is it worth it

Personally I would love a turbo AWD RSX-S built around a CR-V AWD rear end... prob is RT-AWD is not good for sporty applications. You would need a custom ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) limited slip center diff, and a much stronger rear diff.

Epic Tuning makes a kit. They had a HT feature with an AWD EJ2 w/a turbo B20 running 10s on street tires.

Given the body lines on that car that is very much a possibility I would rock it
