Well the dealer will probably file an insurance claim but if this happened to anyone of us, we'd be scouring CL because you know those thieves will be unloading them there.

The Salesman told me that the did not have any wheel locks installed.

This happens all the time around here. But most of the time they are stealing 18 wheeler rims and tires

Seriously, how much of an idiot do you have to be in order to go through with this?
It is worth the $500 or whatever (I am assuming the wheels will be going for less than retail; and that there were a few guys and they split the profit) to live with the thought that you did something that makes you a lower human being?

I'd much rather work very hard for 2-3 days and make that money doing something at least somewhat meaningful and, most importantly, honest.

I'm not really shocked either.... these guys might as well be working in a pit stop.

My moms friend had a corolla S and she parked her car at Safeway and under 15min got her cars rims jacked.....cement blocks and all. This was way early in the morning as some Safeway Grocery stores are 24hrs here in California.

My sisters car got stolen right in front of a 24hr fitness center and was found 40miles out de-flowered of rims and jdm items. Some people have no shame. I bet the people scoped the area first and know the security routines if they even had any.

It's sad these people can't put their ghetto skills to real use and work for say a "pit stop" or repo vehicles.

really it wont matter to the dealership they have loss insurance. it will be chump change to them.
