    Pretty Powerful Images

I have noticed in todays world, the good is more often overlooked by the bad and negativity that infest our modern society. A lot of things you hear are from garbage ass reality shows, bad messages getting glorified to our youth, or all in all stupidity or death related topics.

I was on Facebook and saw this link pop up on my news feed. It is something that highlights the good that does exist in our world today and that there is in fact still hope for our socity and the human race as a whole. The pics can be seen at this link: http://www.buzzfeed.com/expresident/...th-in-humanity

I ask everyone to go take a look and feel free to share your opinion here.

Wow, that really is some good stuff!
It's so easy to just be cold and hard in this world...
I watched two cars ripping through traffic the other day. I was gong about 70, and an old Z31 tore past me like I was sitting still. Tailgated the truck in front of him until the truck moved, and continued on. A Camry or Corolla came flying up on his ass. Not sure if they were racing, or if it was a case of road rage. They swerved across three lanes, then back into the center. Then I looked away for a second. When I looked up, there was a cloud of dust on the side of the road. One or both of the cars (I have a feeling it was the Toyota) ran off the side of the highway into a ditch/trees/fence... at about 100mph. About a dozen cars slammed on their brakes, the drivers and passengers running back to the scene.
I drove on. I was hardly phased by it. I wasn't upset that I may have just watched someone die. My first thought was that what happened was clearly a result of their stupid actions (as if I haven't been that stupid in the past... even the recent past...)

Those that stopped to help belong in that reminder of humanity. I do not. My own attitude at that time is exactly what is wrong with this world.

I have driven past accidents plenty of time and have thought how stupid some people are afteer seeing them act out on the roadways. I will admit I have and still do my share of stupidity but nothing in crowded traffic or busy streets/highways. Dont beat yourself up over doing what you did it is understandable as a lot of other people probably kept on going like you did. Probably were thinking the sme thing.

I had an experience yesterday as well. A couple of friends go their Geo Tracker stuck on a trail due to their own stupidity and craving of less then legal substances. And seeing as I now have a 4 wheel drive beast, they called me told me what they did and asked for help. The hwole way over there I was cursing up a storm while freaking out about the amount of gas I had and all in all madder then shit. ut upon getting there, I helped them and my anger went away.

We all ended up hanging out and all my anger was gone. I then saw that link and was glad I went to help. Point being we all have attitudes at times but we do stuff out of kindness that makes up for our anger or less then glamourous thoughts. Perfect example you once stopped me from going right into a scam deal and you didnt have to do that at all.

About a week ago, I saw an Impala run a redlight and tbone a 20 passenger bus built on a Kodiak chassis, so it was pretty stout. I even saw it happening before it happened, the impala was driving along and didn't even put on the brakes, I saw the bus coming up and I was like Oh shit, a unnerving feeling filled my stomach all of a sudden like you know something bad was going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it.

I saw the bus driving along in the right of way with the green light and I knew he wasn't going to stop, the impala came into the intersection, luckily he must've seen the bus at the very last 15 feet or so going 35mph, he slammed on the brakes and stopped just in time not to get T-bone by the big bus, but just late enough to T-bone him with so much force that it ripped the rear axle off the frame. It looked as though the bus' rear tires actually ran over the hood of the car, I saw tire marks on the impala's hood.

Luckily all 4 people in the impala were not injured, the car was totalled for sure, right side wheel popped out of the transmission housing, the entire front end of the car looks like it shifted to the left about a foot. It was pretty amazing seeing a 10 ft tall bus almost topple over after getting hit by a car.

The bus was heading the direction of the truck, North, and the impala was heading my direction, East

My mother-in-law who is a social worker for a hospital. Gave a homeless man who was discharged from the hospital her somewhat expensive coat on a cold day. The guy didn't even know it was hers. For what she did the hospital put her and her story on billboards and commercials. Pretty cool thing that happened

I'm quick to smile and give a helping hand, Im also quick to stab you in the throat if you try to fuck me.

And I continue my life everyday trying not to see the bad in people and only the good but that doesn't mean I'm a gullible SOB.

This is pretty much the way I roll.

I'm quick judge of character, and I deem the majority of people to be on my good side. Therefore, I go out of my way for most people. However, you disrespect me, or show me a reason not to trust you, you're as good as dead to me. It's funny. I think of myself as a good person, but I really hate "people" as a whole.

It just sucks because there are some really good people out there. And kudos for them. But at the same moment there are, for lack of a better statement, "so many pieces of shit." it sucks because the people that do try get overlooked, and the bad actions become front page news. People do stupid shit just to become infamous. I love seeing things such as this post. But sadly not many people are going to recognize this enough to care at all. I don't usually add my two cents but alot of the horrible actions we see today, shall be punished with death. Not sending someone that killed another human to jail. That's all I have for that subject seeing as it may be too much. Pass this on. Im posting to Facebook asap. Maybe bring some light on people that don't deserve a 45th chance.....

You all havee very good input on this thread and all are right about everything you say. I will agree there are a lot of less then desireable people out there and a lot of people are trying to be less then desireable. It doesnt make much ssense and I will admit I was losing a lot of hope in our society. I am glad I saw this link and glad I read all the responses. There is a lot to b said for someone with good character and also this thread is a damn good reflection on our community
