You sound just like me! I do all that except in the greater Toronto area with more traffic and retards on the roads, absolutely hate left lane huggers and even more when its an 18 wheeler for long stretches. Worst incident I had: I was on a 2 lane oneway part of the highway the other day and i was coming up the left at maybe 120 and some jackass saw me and decided to jump in front of me at like 90 (max...had to be less then that) in his corolla to get around a truck in front of him. then he wouldnt get out of the lane so i started to get close and start weaving behind him and dude came to a full stop almost all of a sudden to get me to ram him from the back and i was swerving in my lane behind him when i seen that car stop i was like WTH then he got up to 130 and slammed the brakes again like an asshole, i saw an opening come up and pass him and see his psycho middle-aged russian guy cursing his head off at me...Long story short i passed him eventually but he found my car again after about 10 minutes and he was still cussing and signaling to pull over so he can kick my ass...After about 25 minutes of having him follow me i was starting to get a little worried but i lost him on my offramp.

I actually miss driving in Ontario. I grew up there, and spent my first 7 years driving there. After living in Alberta for 3 years now, I miss the 400 series highways. Honestly, I love driving in Ontario. In Calgary, Deerfoot Trail (or Hwy 2) is the biggest clusterfuck ever. The speedlimit is 100. There's always photo radar traps, so there's 3 speeds everyone drives: 100, 110 or fast as fuck, and it's in any 3 of the lanes. There's no consistency in what lane is going a certain speed. It's also a twisty, hilly highway with everyone merging, weaving and cutting in all over the place. It's THE worst. I just hate driving in Calgary in general. Toronto is so easy to get around. Calgary is confusing, frustrating and so spread out, it takes seemingly forever to get anywhere.


I had a case of road rage today. Doing 60 in a 50, this asshole goes to pull out of a parking lot. Stops at the corner, sees me coming rather quickly, and just leisurely pulls out infront of me causing my front bumper to almost meet his trailer hitch. The best part? This asshole drove 35kmh for 3 blocks before he made a right hand turn. Stupid cock. Yeah, you can bet I was hanging out my window yelling profanities and hand gestures.

I had also made sure that when he pulled out and caused me to pretty much become part of his tail gate, that I did not back off until he turned.

on my long road trips after 8-10 hours i get extremely tired. the only solution is to stop at next rest stop. wash face and get back onto the I in full autobahn mode (and drive like that atleast for the next few hrs) the adrenaline is alot better than coffee.

i remember coming home after thanksgiving in 09. left ATL at about 3am and just hauled ass northbound. I got pulled over just out of TN, the cop didnt clock me so no ticket

adreneline for me would be falling asleep and catching myself before drifting into the center divide or under a semi. that would get me going for the rest of the trip.

I'd also like to add that I noticed that people out West (AZ, NM, CA) understand this concept. The entire time I was there, I never had these issues with people in the wrong lane. They get it. They know how it works. It seems the further East you go, the worse they get.

Im also not a big fan of 2-lane highways. I like having 3 lanes. Then I can bob'n'weave or Frogger.

Dude try driving in Texas. Any where in Texas. We have a 70mph speed limit and everyone wants to loiter the fast lane at 50mph. I hate Texas drivers that do this. When ever you see a car doing 90mph on the passing lane some idiot decides to clogg the flow of traffic at 60mph. SMDH If only shooting IDIOT drivers wasnt a sin or against the law...

Ok so I was at work, I work with this immigrant african kid. This dude is like full retard, never go full retard. He said that there was a car speeding and passing cars up on the fast lane so he decided to slow him down to speed limit and congest the driver and basicly trolled him by going the same speed as the slow lane traffic. I told him not only is it illegal for you to do that but you are also putting your self in danger of the other driver fucking you up. Stupid little africa kid...

doesnt texas have a 'drive with courtesy' law where even if the other guy is speeding, you have to stay out of the way?

we have no such law here. on these highways, if someone wants to run you off the road, you can stay put as long as you arent breaking any laws. its called the 'thats his problem' law. and its fucking annoying

[edit] things ive noticed people doing recently: is coming to a complete stop on a small highway/boulevard to enter a parking lot. A COMPLETE STOP. come on!
