Very rarely do I hear or read (Facebook) a black person saying the "N" word. When I worked at Target I heard it a lot by a few of the guys that worked in the back. They were also the lowest paid employees that got the least amount of hours. Now I see/hear it by white people in high school. When I see a a conversation on my "News Feed" on Facebook between 5+ white guys that call each other the "N" word I just shake my head and wonder why they weren't loved as a child.

If the whole desensitization process that Dean was talking about is to occur, non-black people calling each other that word is the best route to it!
I still think it's funny that it's racist for a non-black person to use that word, but it's not racist for a black person to use that word. Yet that exclusion isn't considered racism.
