i actually love the idea and have been contemplating it since i was a graphics applicator but have never actually gone much further than thinking about it as the cost would be stupid high...here is a sample of a rust wrap...LOVE IT!!

just a thought make a patch of sheet metal whatever shape paint it and rivet it on your fender or hood like a sticker but not a sticker

The rust wrap is awesome, though I know I'm half a year late seeing it!

Anyways, I thought of this thread when thinking of a way to keep something memorable from my 93 that got hit. This is what I came up with. It's not catchy or anything being as someone would have to lose one of their cars somehow to obtain a meaningful one. I cut it out with a oxy/acetylene torch before taking the car to the crusher. I plan to cut the VIN number out and hang it from my rear view mirror in my 91. Which is kinda cool because so many parts such as the transmission was taken from the wrecked 93 and put into my 91.

I dont have them hung up but i do have the dash vin plates from my two main donor cars in my glove box, Ill hang them with my finger nail i lost in the motor swap

I thought about taking the dash VIN tag as well for a keep sake. However I didn't want to get to the salvage yard and it not be there if they looked.

I snagged mine, took 2 seconds with a flat head screwdriver..I was gonna be lazy and just swap tags onto the h22 car..i mean they look the same, then I came to my senses. But I got a nice little memento from my japan made cb7. Ill collect them from now on lol

You should collect them and make a something similar to a necklace with severed fingers, but with VIN tags.
