    Some random stuff (pics)

Didn't know where to post this stuff, but felt like sharing this stuff.

First off, caught a Phoenix Red coupe up close in the flesh. 1 of 2 I see in my town.

At work, we got in an '02 Sentra GXE on trade. Has these 14" American Racing alloys, that as you can see, all 4 are completely pitted to shit and look awful. My boss said "ah, those will buff out."

Buffing...not so much. But some Duplicolor Silver wheel paint always fixes things

Still have 2 more to paint tomorrow. Need them done and mounted back on the car by Friday aft so it can go on the lot for the weekend.

And finally, this is the project '80 Camaro Z28 my roommate and I are working on. This beast has a new GM 350 HO 290hp crate engine in it with a 4 speed. We've been working on the engine and cleaning/dressing up the engine bay.

We've added the chrome valve covers, Edelbrock double pumper 650cfm carb, Edelbrock Performer II intake manifold, Hooker headers, Accel 8mm wires, POR15 fender wells, fire wall & other bits, chrome rad support & fender braces and braided hose cover. This thing sounds like an absolute beast.

It has a red carmine leather interior. We've sprayed the dash black with SEM paint...same stuff I did my interior with. Black headliner, black carpet going in this weekend, and his new OEM seat covers just came in today and I'll be reupholstering the seats this weekend. Outside, the new fender flares and front lip just came in, and he has a set of 18x8 Boss wheels going on it. In a few weeks the exhaust will be getting done and we're working on getting it prepped for paint, and will be sprayed in Chevrolet Avalanche bright red.

Working on this car with him really makes me want some muscle, but alas...I love my CB too much.

The wheels were a team effort between myself and our apprentice technician, who is actually a good friend of my roommate.

He prepped & primed the wheels, while I sprayed them. He's a spray paint master just like I am, so it's good that I can trust him to do some paint and touch up jobs when I don't have the time to.

Funny note, he has a '99 Civic sedan, completely covered in grey duct tape with black duct tape racing stripes....while his nice car is a white 2010 Lancer GTS.

And yeah, the Camaro is pretty badass. Here's a link to his build thread on NastyZ28

          Nice Camaro.
FYI, edelbrock carbs are not double pumpers. They are vacuum secondaries. Double pump carbs are mechanical secondaries.

Since this is for random pictures

Sick as acura RL i was. Some little asian lady was driving it, she picked up her 11 year old daughter up in it at the mall.

How did you know her daughter was 11?

                OMG that's sick.

Both the car and the knowing she was 11 part.

Reupholstered the front seats in the Camaro today.

                            Yours truly hard at work

                            Original driver seat...

Finished buckets. We're going to redo the passenger seat as it's a little wrinkly for our liking.

And here's those rims finished up and reinstalled on the Sentra at work. My boss was sooo impressed with them, we have a Mazda Millenia on the lot that he wants us to do this week.

Set those seats out in the sun if it's warming up at all in Alberta. The sun will help that covering get tight and form to the seat better.
