I love how people still spell VTEC wrong even though it's right on your valve cover. And how people call nitrous oxide NOS. That really ticks me off all the time!

I decided I would email the guy about it so here is what I sent!

"Hey I had a few questions about the civic you have for sale, I was wondering what type of v-tech unit you have in the car? I am guessing it's a phone unit seeing how I don't think you would have kids toys in your car. And also, what do you mean 100 shot of NOS. Are you injecting the energy drink into your motor? Never heard of that one? Also you state the car has headers on it but I only see one header on the motor? Do you have the other one inside or something? Can I see the second header your have for it? Hope to hear from you soon!"

Not really. The craftsman ship put into this car is amazing! It's just the simple stuff that the seller should notice that ticks me off.

99% sure scam.. The way the ad is formatted and the cars in the background do not have MA plates.

I would never respond to an ad that was made in another program and copied over as an image file. They do that so they can post it all over the country and it's just an easy image to copy and paste. The emboldened e-mail addresses that they put up are dead giveaways also.

But if we were to assume it's for real...Si? Oh really, an Si coupe from the '92-'95 body style? V-tech? This one has been beat to death enough but you know what I mean.

I made a fake email so I'm not worried about anything, and yeah, I would love for this to be real. I would meet up with the guy and ask if I can just buy the V-tech device he has for sale.

Honestly it annoyed you enough, that you genuinely felt the need to email him to take the piss

OBVIOUSLY you knew what he was reffering to.

Threads like this annoy me genuinely enough, so much so that I feel the need to post in them too.

As pointless as it sounds to e-mail people like this it certainly doesn't hurt. You never know. Wasting this guy's time because you're stringing him along may mean the difference between someone else not getting screwed over. Highly unlikely, but I have no sympathy for these types of people. So if you want to waste your time sending them on a wild goose chase, have at it. I encourage it.

I'm an absolute asshole to people who ask me stupid questions, give me stupid offers or ask about anything that is clearly posted in the ad.

                          Example - I have a set of 240sx tail lights I'm asking $40 for.

This is an actual text conversation:

"Hi do u still have ur s13 lights 4 sale?"

                          "Yes I do"

"Take 20? I only need the Right side"

"No. 40 for the whole set."

"I only need the RH though. 30?"

"How about spend the extra 10 bucks and buy the whole set."

                          "I'll think about it"

"Whats to think about? It's 10 extra dollars and you get the whole set, giving you spare parts. 40 bucks for the whole set or piss off."

"I wont be buying them with that attitude. Thanks asshole."

"Thanks for wasting my time, cheap ass."

Well it was a scam. I hope his house burns down on Christmas. Here is what he wrote back

" First of all, I must apologize for the delay in my response, but I'm literally overwhelmed by the amount of interest. The craigslist ad was posted nationwide this is why it appeared in your city. The car has 187,970 miles is in perfect condition with no mechanical problems, tires and wheels are in great shape and electrical works perfectly, has a clean and clear title without any accidents. No liens or loans on it. Engine and equipment are all in good working order. Price is $2550, I'm in a rush to find a buyer because I'm in debt with my bank, but what is really worrying is that if I cant get my money quickly i will lose my house because i have no money to pay for my rates! So now you see why I'm selling my car at this price!
I had the car listed on Autotrader, I opened a transaction with a buyer, he was from Great Falls, MT. I’ve arranged the shipping and I waited on him to complete the payment to Autotrader. He could not complete the payment and Autotrader could not ask me to deliver to Great Falls, MT. The car remained at Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) and the Autotrader transaction remained opened for the transaction amount of $2550 and I have no buyer for it. What I want to do is register you as the buyer to the existing Autotrader transaction and have the vehicle and its documents along with a notarized bill of sale delivered to you for inspection. Shipping, insurance and Autotrader fees have been paid since the previous transaction. The car and its documents are in the DAS auto shipping warehouse from Tampa FL, waiting to be delivered. The car is fully paid for, fully functional, the title is clean and clear.
If you are ready for this purchase let me know and I will explain how we can complete this deal!

Thanks, hope to do business with you soon! Oliver Cook .

PS. More pictures of my car: http://www.use.com/ab1fe296e1815d38af2c and VIN number: 2HGEJ1137RH553269 . "
